Ho Chi Minh-stad (ook bekend als Saigon) staat bekend als een van de beste streetfood-plaatsen op aarde. Waar je ook gaat in deze stad, je kunt een kleine eetkraam of een klein eetcafé vol met mensen vinden, aanbieden van beroemde gerechten zoals bánh mì, phở of bún chả ... We nemen je mee naar plaatsen waar de lokale bevolking eet en je onderdompelt in een lokale cultuur en je kennismaakt met nieuwe gerechten en je voedselhorizon uitbreidt. Je zult vele gerechten proberen die zelfs Vietnamese mensen niet in een ander deel van het land koken.

Ontdek een van de "slakkenstraten" van Ho Chi Minh City. Hier zullen we een reeks "slakken" proberen. Je zult een verscheidenheid aan zeevruchten kunnen proeven - de beste zeevruchten in Ho Chi Minh-stad, slakken die worden gegeten met een veiligheidsspeld, mosselen, sint-jakobsschelpen en smakelijke garnalen-op-een-stok. (Omdat eten ALTIJD beter smaakt op een stokje.) We kopen wat snacks van dwalende verkopers. Afhankelijk van wie er langs loopt, kunnen de snacks bestaan uit gesneden groene mango, gekookte kwarteleitjes of rijstcrackers, evenals meer exotische aanbiedingen. Tijdens deze tour moet je deelnemen aan het luidruchtige Vietnamese roosterritueel (zelfs als je alleen frisdrank drinkt) van mot-hai-ba-YO! Als je verlegen bent, laten we je het maar één keer doen. In de meeste gevallen begint onze tour in een klein steegje in de buurt van de dierentuin en wordt dan onderbroken naar Snail Street voor nog twee haltes. Ons progressieve streetfood-extravaganza in tapasstijl omvat meestal een hotpot en een snel dessert op een lokale markt.

Really nice tour with Tony and Nikki Safe riders and you really get to see the city and have some interesting foods. This was our second time with the same company.
Absolutely 💯 our guide Duy Ang (Tony) taught us so much so then we were confident to order St food in the craziness of HCM ourselves. He and his awesome team took us on the back of their motorbikes to 6 different spots a great variety fabulousness! We were really FULL!!
It's not a food tour. It is an experience. I've traveled a lot of cities around the world, but what happens here is different: they don't just take you to eat, they take you inside the real soul of Saigon. The food level? Very tall. Not touristy, unfiltered, but authentic — stuff you would never find on your own. Every stage is studied, every dish has a story, and you feel that there is a real relationship with the local vendors. The real difference, however, is made by people: more than guides, they look like friends who take you around their city. They explain, make you laugh, make you enter the culture without that “organized tour” feeling. And you finally realize one thing: You didn't just eat well -- you understood Saigon. If you want to be a tourist, move on. If you really want to experience the city, this is mandatory! Thank you TONY!

Excellent experience in HCMC! We took the Seafood Trail tour with Vu and had an excellent time. Vu is a great guide, full of stories about the city, Vietnamese history, his own life… and of course the food! We stopped at four places we never would have found on our own, and had several great dishes at each establishment. Whether you are considering the seafood tour or any other of Saigon Street Eat’s offerings, we would highly recommend them.
