Vermijd de drukke boten en geniet van een ontspannen kleine groep schildpaddentocht in Zakynthos. Met slechts een paar gasten aan boord is er ruimte om te ontspannen en te genieten van een meer persoonlijke ervaring met een vriendelijke lokale schipper. We verkennen het Zakynthos Marine Park, waar schildpadden vaak dichtbij de boot te zien zijn. Als de omstandigheden het toelaten en het veilig is, heb je misschien zelfs de kans om in hun buurt te zwemmen. Je bezoekt ook verborgen stranden en zeegrotten, en dankzij de kleinere boot kunnen we enkele grotten betreden om het prachtige blauwe water van dichtbij te ervaren. Deze tour is ideaal voor diegenen die op zoek zijn naar een kleinere groep, een ontspannen tempo en een goed georganiseerde ervaring van begin tot eind, inclusief gasten die Zakynthos per cruiseschip bezoeken. Let op : Op grond van de Griekse maritieme wetgeving moet elke passagier — inclusief kinderen en baby’s — als volwaardige stoel worden geteld. Hierdoor kunnen we groepen klein en comfortabel houden. Jaarlijks trekken honderden Caretta Caretta zeeschildpadden naar de kusten van Zakynthos. Deze tour geeft je de perfecte gelegenheid om ze te zien zwemmen in hun natuurlijke habitat. Onze kleine boot heeft geen last of schaduw van de schildpadden. Ze zwemmen vaak vrolijk langs de kant van de boot onwetend van het feit dat wij er zijn. Dit geeft u gemoedsrust wetende dat we hen niet storen. dit geeft ons ook de perfecte uitzicht en vakantiefoto's. Plus als uw kapitein denkt dat het veilig is voor u en de schildpadden zal hij u toestaan om in te springen en rustig naast hen te zwemmen waardoor u een ervaring krijgt die u nooit zult vergeten.
Je verkent de grote grotten en baaien van Keri, waar je stopt voor een duik in het kristalheldere blauwe water. Een voordeel van het gebruik van een kleine boot is dat je daadwerkelijk de grotten kunt betreden – iets wat grotere boten niet kunnen doen. Binnen zie je spectaculaire zonlichtreflecties van het diepe water, waardoor ze helderblauw worden. Als je zin hebt in avontuur, kun je zelfs door een kleine verbindingstunnel tussen de grotten zwemmen.
Meer algemeen bekend als 'Turtle Island.' Niet alleen is dit een belangrijk broedstrand voor de zeeschildpadden, maar het eiland heeft ook de vorm van een reuzenmoederschildpad! Je vaart rond Turtle Island en ontdekt zijn kleine grotten en verborgen stranden voordat je stopt op het belangrijkste prachtige strand om te zonnebaden, zwemmen en misschien zelfs een traktatie van een van de drijvende bars met koude drankjes en ijs.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Transfers van retourhotels zijn inbegrepen van resorts binnen een straal van 6 km van Zakynthos Airport (Zakynthos Town, Argassi, Kalamaki en Laganas). We streven ernaar om gasten rechtstreeks bij hun accommodatie op te halen; om de totale reistijd te minimaliseren, kan er echter af en toe een handig ophaalpunt in de buurt worden geregeld. Vertrek- en ophaaltijden van de tour kunnen variëren met maximaal 30 minuten aan weerszijden van de vermelde vertrektijd vanwege meerdere ophaallocaties, verkeersomstandigheden en seizoensgebonden operationele vereisten. U wordt altijd van tevoren op de hoogte gesteld van uw exacte ophaaltijd. Pickups van gebieden net buiten deze zone, zoals Tsilivi, zijn beschikbaar voor een retour (heen en terug) pick-up fee van € 5 per persoon. Pickups van alle andere delen van het eiland zijn beschikbaar op aanvraag en onder voorbehoud van bevestiging, en kunnen een extra vergoeding, afhankelijk van de afstand. Helaas kunnen we niet bij Vasilikos ophalen. Argassi is de dichtstbijzijnde beschikbare opstapplaats voor Vasilikos gasten. Gasten kunnen ook een gewenste ophaallocatie aanvragen binnen de inbegrepen straal. We raden u aan om na het boeken en voorafgaand aan de tour contact op te nemen met de leverancier om de exacte ophaalplaats, tijd en eventuele toeslag te bevestigen.

- De boot is goed bereikbaar via het strand maar niet rolstoeltoegankelijk. Het is een 100 meter lopen van de parkeerplaats. De kapitein ontmoet u op de parkeerplaats (officieel ontmoetingspunt van de tour) en leidt u naar de boot. Om de boot in te gaan moeten we naar de boot lopen en via een kleine trap de achterkant van de boot op. De kapitein en bemanning zullen u helpen. Om de boot te bereiken moeten we tien meter door ondiep water lopen.
- In overeenstemming met de voorschriften van de plaatselijke Haven Autoriteit, kunnen we één geldig identiteitsbewijs met foto (paspoort, nationale identiteitskaart of rijbewijs) van ten minste één lid van elke boekingsgroep voor vertrek vereisen. Het legitimatiebewijs is alleen nodig om de passagiersgegevens vast te leggen en wordt direct geretourneerd.

This was an amazing tour. It was a small group of six plus our captain. The boat was comfortable and clean. We saw a turtle on our first stop. That was awesome. We were then taken to a beach for 1/2 hr. The beach was very rocky and hard on the feet to walk. I recommend you bring swim shoes to save your feet. Our second stop was the caves. We were allowed 40 mins to swim and some jumped from the cliffs. The captain showed off his amazing boating skills when he took us into some caverns. The captain was a great guy who told great stories and took our picture a few times. The tour was worth every penny. Ian communicated great on the morning of the tour to ensure we were meeting at the right spot. I will definitely recommend this tour to family and friends. Thanks Ian for a wonderful time!!

An exceptional boat trip with Captain Thomas. Everything started out great with Debbie, who picked us up at our hotel right on time and warmly drove us to the departure beach. Once on the boat, the Captain took us on a 3-hour journey to discover the beauty of the Zakynthos coast, featuring turtles, swimming, and sunshine. The "small boat" format is truly ideal to fully enjoy this experience while being guided by a professional. It is a program perfectly suited for groups of 5 to 6 people with children. Yesterday we did a tour here. During the tour we went to several beautiful places and saw turtles. Guide told us about the island in a nice way and we could snorkel beautifully. Definitely recommended!

Very nice afternoon where you come to beautiful places, which are sometimes not accessible to the larger boats. Highly recommended if you want to see the most beautiful places in a small group, where you will of course also spot turtles!

All good saw a few turtles which was the whole point.It was evident that some small boats got too close to them but our captain was keeping his distance which we thought was good.Theyoung guys on the group enjoyed jumping from a very large rock at one swim stop and on the island stop you can do a bit of snorkeling but bring water shoes as its rocky near shore when you step of the boat.All in all a good few hours out or the hotel, pick up went to plan though roads are 'narrow' in parts but all part of the experience

The trip was brilliant from start to finish. Our guide was perfect, his knowledge was excellent and he was so proficient with both his driving of the boat and the transfer - he even helped rescue another boat that was in distress. We saw turtles, the beautiful beaches and caves and had such good fun. An experience we will always remember.

The tour (they are all pretty much the same) itself is quite nice, especially along the coast, rocks, caves, etc. But anchoring at Turtle Island is really bad! Loud, dirty, no infrastructure (trash cans, which you can also see, or restrooms are not available). That should be strictly forbidden, it is simply terrible! I felt really sorry for the turtles, I have no idea what it is like when the little ones hatch 🤦🏼♀️
Thank you for your review. However, we must make an important distinction between our tour and your personal opinion of Turtle Island. Our captains follow all National Marine Park regulations and are consistently praised for treating the turtles and local wildlife with care and respect. There are hundreds of previous reviews confirming this, so it is disappointing to see our business rated down for conditions on an island that we do not own, manage or control. Turtle Island is a protected nesting area. Permanent buildings, toilets and other infrastructure are not permitted, and all visitors must leave before sunset so the beach remains undisturbed for the turtles overnight. The wider Marine Park also includes approximately six kilometres of fully protected nesting beach where buildings, beach bars and boats are not permitted at all. These strict protections are a major reason why turtle nesting numbers on Zakynthos have increased so significantly. According to official reports from ARCHELON, the Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece, 2024 recorded the highest number of turtle nests on Zakynthos on record. Between 2015 and 2024, recorded nest numbers on Zakynthos increased by approximately 150%, meaning there were around two-and-a-half times as many nests. This is a very positive sign that the conservation measures are working and that the nesting population is moving in the right direction. We recognise that tourism must be managed responsibly, which is why our captains educate guests about turtle conservation and follow the Marine Park guidelines throughout every tour. You described the boat trip and coastline as beautiful, and your criticism does not concern the conduct of our captain or the quality of our service.
