Na het bezoek aan de kaasfabriek in Appenzell nemen we u mee naar St. Gallen, een charmante en authentieke Zwitserse stad. Daar heb je een stop van 30 tot 45 minuten. Hier heeft u de mogelijkheid om foto's te maken en opmerkelijke bezienswaardigheden te bezoeken, waaronder de prachtige kathedraal, een UNESCO-werelderfgoed. Het station van Zürich is het grootste treinstation van Zwitserland. Het is een belangrijk spoorwegknooppunt voor Zwitserland, maar ook voor Italië, Frankrijk, Oostenrijk en Duitsland. Het ligt in het hart van de stad. Het is een van de oudste stations van Zwitserland. In het station bevindt zich het winkelcentrum ShopVille met zijn 190 winkels en restaurants, 365 dagen per jaar geopend, van 's ochtends vroeg tot 's avonds laat. Zelfs op zondag als de winkels in de stad gesloten zijn. Het VVV-kantoor van Zürich bevindt zich ook in het station.
Het Urania Observatorium, genoemd naar de Griekse godin van de astronomie, werd in 1907 geopend. Het was het eerste betonnen bouwwerk in de stad Zürich. In 1989 werd het geclassificeerd als historisch monument. Een unieke ervaring waarbij je de sterren en hun omgeving kunt bewonderen. De Schwizerische Kreditanstalt, de eerste grote Zwitserse bank, werd in 1856 opgericht door Aflred Escher. Zij is gespecialiseerd in kredieten. Zij is het die een belangrijk deel van de spoorlijn zal financieren. Het werd toen Credit Suisse. Tegenwoordig is Crédit le Crédit Suisse een wereldleider.
Het pand was eigendom van Otto Wesendonck, een rijke zelfhandelaar. Het Rietberg Museum met zijn drie villa's en zijn park is rijk aan historie. Richard Wagner, een groot componist, woonde enkele maanden in de stad Schönberg. Waar hij klaar was met het schrijven van de originele versie van "Tristan de Iseut", geïnspireerd door zijn liefde voor Mathilde de Wesendonck, Het werd ingehuldigd in 1952, later werd het vergroot. Het gebouw “Smaragd” geeft het museum een moderne uitstraling. In de villa's Wensendonck en Rieter bevinden zich de collecties van Baron von der Heydt: werken uit China, Japan, Afrika, Oceanië, Nabije Oosten en Tibetaanse prenten.
Gelegen tegenover het hoofdkantoor van de FIFA opende het op 28 februari 2016 zijn deuren. Met zijn 3000 m2 tentoonstellingsruimte biedt het alle facetten van het voetbal. De eerste steen van het gebouw werd in 2013 gelegd door Sepp Blatter en de bouw ervan werd geschat op 130 miljoen euro.
Neoklassiek herenhuis werd in 1819 gebouwd door Heinrich Escher, een politicus en spoorwegpionier uit Zürich. Het park is een van de grootste en oudste aangelegde tuinen in Zürich Tegenwoordig herbergt het een restaurant.

The open top bus was a bus with a fold back roof not what was expected. The city tour was average at best. Due to conflicting information about arrival times back to Zurich did not do the cheese factory. But given there was an 1.5 gap between the city tour and the cheese factory which was not advised I gave up

This was the first tour my wife and I booked while traveling to Switzerland for the first time. We really enjoyed the smaller size of this tour group and our guide, Gabriel. He was friendly and explained everything very well. We also had plenty of free time to explore the area. Unfortunately, the city tour was canceled but the chocolate and cheese tour was definitely worth it and we’d highly recommend.

The actual tour started at 12:30 even though the tour stated it started at 10:00am. At 10:00 am, we got on a bus that took us around Zurich for an hour and then dropped us off at 11:00am and told us to wait for the next bus for our tour! First of all, we did not want a tour of Zürich. We wanted what we paid for and should have started at 10 as it was advertised. The 12:30 tour bus arrived, we travelled to Appenzell and were on a tight schedule. The drive through the countryside was fast and furious and taking the mountain curves could have been more enjoyable if not having to rush instead of taking curves at a high speed. If we had left at 10:00, gone to the very enjoyable places we were promised, we would have gotten back before 7:00pm and enjoyed the scenery instead of being rushed. We did have time at the cheese and chocolate places but the drive was miserable. Felt cheated of the experience to enjoy the countryside! Both bus drivers were nice and congenial and good drivers! But, the experience was not worth it for us! A day lost!

Morning open top bus was quite good. It took 55 minutes and was sufficiently extensive. The starting point was as instructed. We asked the driver where the next bus was leaving from, as the instructions were incomplete in this regard (no time, no place). On the map there was a place 2 in a completely different part of the city, maybe it was referring to the city tour, I don't know. The driver said the same place as morning and in about an hour, a small white bus. This was true. If the city tour had started at 11:00 we would have had plenty of time to catch this bus then too - it's worth considering changing the schedule - because the afternoon trip started at 12:30. A wait of more than an hour is too long, especially if there is uncertainty. The afternoon tour to the chocolate factory, cheese factory and village was really nice. We were the only participants on the tour. The driver was really nice and knowledgeable. The best part of the day. Both the cheese factory and especially the chocolate factory are very suitable for children. Village was really beautiful.

Only issue that we had was that after the city tour we had no In formation as to departure time for cheese and chocolate tour and waited 1 1/2 hrs for bus. Both parts of these tours were interesting and our guides were great

You can save money by combining the Zurich tour with the chocolate and cheese experience. However, we had to reach out to the bus driver in the red Swiss sightseeing bus to understand how to catch the second part of the tour which was in a short white keytours bus. The cheese/chocolate tour was great.

The logistics of the tour are poorly planned we had less than 45 minutes to see the cheese factory. We had nothing of guidance as the very friendly person who took us knew nothing of where we were. No explanation was given.
In Zürich for two days and booked this tour through GetYourGuide paid $246.38 for this tour. It does say it’s a self guided tour however, we did not know there was multiple tours on the same bus therefore we got off at the wrong stop and missed going to the chocolate and cheese factory as well as the countryside. The announcement on the bus was a recording and it said you can get off here for the boat ride or you can stay on the bus and go back to the bus stop. It did not state that we should stay on if we were going somewhere else. We did ask the driver at the beginning of the tour if we were on the right bus and he said yes. During the trip, he was no help. If you asked questions he acted as he hated his job. Was really looking forward to this tour. Very upset about the whole thing.

Thanasis was a delightful, entertaining and obliging guide for our chocolate and cheese tour. He made the day engaging and memorable for us. The tour was well organised and there was a good balance between the travel time on the bus and time to visit the sites. Would highly recommend Swiss tours!

The tour guide did not even talk to us about anything we were seeing. He spent all his time LOUDLY talking to the bus driver. I have actually taken this tour before with Viatour and it was great. That tour guide imparted so much information to us as we road through the countryside. The tour guide on this tour did nothing!!!!! We went to Appensell and he never once said why it was important to go there. He did not give us ANY INFORMATION.
