York Dungeon-toegangsticket

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the York Dungeon. It was set in a number of rooms where we met a Viking slave, a torturer, a judge, a plague “doctor” Guy Fawkes, Dick Turpin and a witch! The actors playing these characters were so entertaining, and all the special effects were excellent. I would definitely recommend spending some time here, it’s really good fun!

I took my 12 year old and her friend today and we had a great time. The actors were very good and the different themed rooms kept it interesting. The toilets are probably the creepiest part, having to get a code to a door round the side and descend into a basement! Some bits would have probably been a bit too scary for some kids younger than 12, depending on how brave they are!

Fantastic scary experience, great actors. We were a small group and the actors got everyone to take part. Me and my husband loved it.

Really good fun and also informative with a tongue in cheek twist it’s money well spent we had a great time and grrreat laughs had.

We took a group of 16-17 year olds as part of a college trip, it's an amazing experience! The students loved it, even if they shrieked the entire way around. It's about an hour and 15 minutes long, some really great spooky moments (the witch gets us every time!)

This is a great Scary themes set with great actors telling you the history of various events with special effects and audience participation. I particularly enjoyed Isabella the witch scene who I've thought was a mannequin in a cage .. Bet when she came to life and changed cages appearing in front of you speaking so well. Fantastic actor 5* rating . The whole experience is done not to miss. Ps just a note for York dungeon - I feel you could better emphasise the guy Fawkes scene with a loud firework explosion & dry ice smoke for the future maybe showing a little more. Thanks 👍

Been hear multiple times now they always put on a great performance I like the talking heads of Guy Fawkes and John Wright are great I love the puns.

Fantastic experience. I am a bit of a fraidy cat so after talking to the lovely guy at the ticket box, with some reassurance, I bought the tickets and went in. I’m so glad I did. The actors were fantastic! The plague doctors assistant especially. How they keep eye contact while saying the creepiest things into someone’s face and not laughing I’ll never know. ‘I like pulling out the bitsssssss’ has now become a catchphrase in our home. I did get thrown into a cage at one point and hubby failed at protecting the mace but it was all in good fun. I am really a scaredy cat but it wasn’t too bad. I survived! Only just!! Loved it

This was a fab experience, it was scary for me cos im a softie, The actors are worth their weight in gold, id be surprised if i dont see any of them on TV soon, so so good in character, if you are in York please visit here, its a fab experience, A little tip is if you do not want to be singled out request a yellow sticker when you go in..

To be honest I was initially reluctant to go to this attraction as I thought it might be a bit childish and tacky. I was wrong! It was a brilliant 75 minutes full of humour, history and jump scares. I asked for a sticker to opt out of being selected audience participation but those who were up for it seemed to enjoy the experience! I won't give anything away but I genuinely screamed on two occasions which was quite a surprise to me as I like to think I'm pretty immune to being scared. The group size was perfect and the actors were thoroughly outstanding. I really would recommend it as a must see if you're visiting York!
