Onze Twilight Tour is een reis van 4 tot 5 mijl en duurt meestal ongeveer 3 uur. Na een korte oriëntatie met je gids, peddelt de groep langs de oever van Yellowstone Lake, het grootste hoogalpenmeer van Noord-Amerika! Afhankelijk van de weersomstandigheden en het vermogen van de groep, zullen onze gidsen de groep veilig begeleiden naar West Thumb Geyser Basin. Na een rondleiding door het Geyser Basin, waar tientallen geothermische kenmerken zichtbaar zijn boven en onder het wateroppervlak, keren we terug langs dezelfde route, stoppen we voor verfrissing en een kans om langs de oever van het meer te verkennen, en komen we terug op ons startpunt in Grant Marina voordat de zon ondergaat. De terugkomsttijd kan variëren, afhankelijk van de groepsgrootte, het weer, de conditie en natuurlijk de tijd van de zonsondergang.

Het West Thumb Geyser Basin ligt op een klein eindje rijden van de iconische Old Faithful Inn and Geyser. De 1/2 mijl verhoogde promenade kronkelt en draait door het Geyser Basin en biedt uitzicht op enkele van de mooiste warmwaterbronnen, zwembaden en geisers in het park.
Bridge Bay ligt op een klein eindje rijden van het West Thumb Geyser Basin langs de oevers van Yellowstone Lake.
Hayden Valley ligt op slechts 43 km van het West Thumb Geyser Basin. Een geweldige bezienswaardigheid om te bezoeken voor of na uw kajakervaring op Yellowstone Lake.
Lewis Lake ligt slechts 10 minuten ten zuiden van het West Thumb Geyser Basin en Grant Village. Een prachtige plek om je tenen in het meer te dompelen of langs de noordkust richting Shoshone Lake te wandelen.
John D. Rockefeller Jr. Memorial Parkway is een schilderachtige weg en beschermd gebied dat het Grand Teton National Park en het Yellowstone National Park in de Amerikaanse staat Wyoming met elkaar verbindt. Net ten zuiden van Yellowstone Lake.

What a fun experience! It was definitely worth the money. I am so glad that we did this tour in Yellowstone. What a great way to see the lake. Our guide, Tiffany, was very knowledgeable and friendly and gave us great park information during the tour. Was not too strenuous and there were lots of breaks for looking at the thermal features. It is a definite must tour in Yellowstone!

The event was wonderful. Tiffany was exceptional! Very knowledgeable about Yellowstone and kayaking. She was punctual. She gave us a great presentation prior to heading out. The trip was so serene. We would definitely recommend this excursion.
Prismatic Tours was so great and all the tour guides were amazing! We had Maddie and she was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. One of our daughters had a nose bleed during the kayak tour and Maddie was totally prepared and helped us with the bleed. She's also trained in first aid, which is a bonus for me! She was engaging with all of our kids, especially our 7 yo who was apprehensive at first, but Maddie won her over quickly. We were given a 3 person kayak with our little one, and our two teens had a double kayak. The tour itself was beautiful and saw thermal geography that you couldn't see on foot. Also lots of bird sightings and the clarity of the water was surreal. Highly recommend this adventure!
My wife and I love to kayak and this was a chance to take our 5yr old daughter with us for her first experience. She loved every minute of it and talked Maddie (one of our guides ear off). She sang and just put her hands in the water asking to go faster and waving to everyone on shore she saw.
We had a fantastic time on our Yellowstone Lake kayaking tour. Our guide Dylan was really knowledgeable and friendly. The journey was a 6-mile kayak around the edge of the West Thumb of the lake and good for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. Would definitely recommend! The only thing I would say is that if you’re booking through Viator you can’t specify a single or double kayak, so you may want to reach out directly to Prismatic Tours after booking to request, if you have a preference.
Tiffany was very knowledgeable and personable. Made the trip fun with mix of fun facts and casual conversation. We saw a good mixture of formations, and some that you can only see while in the water, so I would definitely recommend this experience! There were two groups out on the water at this time, and our group went about a little further to see more things, so I would choose them over other options.
