Beautiful falls. Bring water for the hike. Going to the cabin for lunch and a kayak paddle made it an over the top outing.
Highly recommend this tour and Destination NWT in general. We enjoyed a relaxed, easy hike to Cameron Falls, followed by a delicious barbecue lunch at the company lodge and time to go kayaking in Madeline Lake. Shout out to our fantastic guide, Leon, who is friendly, knowledgeable and made the day a really enjoyable experience.
Thanks for sharing your experiences and giving Destination NWT the opportunity to create some happy memories.
My children and I enjoyed the tour of Cameron Falls with Destination NWT. Pros: Leon, the tour guide was a treasure trove of information, which made the tour very interesting and informative. We came away feeling like we got much more than just a tour of Cameron Falls. We travelled in a comfy red Jeep with great AC. After the falls we were treated to a thoughtfully sourced meal at the lodge. Cons: We would have appreciated a heads up pick up was running a bit late due to unforeseen circumstances. However the response to my call/text was very quick and it was smooth sailing from pick up to drop off! Cleanliness was lacking at the lodge and I am not sure that food handling and preparation was compliant with food safe practices. Hence 4 stars!

Beautiful scenery, fun guide, and delicious food. I had a wonderful time on this tour and would use them again.

Mo is our tour guide and he’s a very caring, honest, friendly, knowledgeable and responsible person. He guided us along the way to see the beautiful Cameron Falls. Later he prepared us a delicious BBQ lunch in a beautiful Aurora Lodge that has a beautiful lake view. After finished everything, Mo dropped us to Old Town and this is the destination that we asked for because we wanted to go enjoying our best “London Fog” flavor ice-cream which is at SunPost trading store. For those who love hiking, I strongly recommended this tour company even though a bit pricey but worth the money and experience.

Fantastic! Mo is our tour and he’s very caring, knowledgeable, honest and friendly. He took time to explain everything to us and later prepared us a very good BBQ lunch to enjoy. My best trip in Yellowknife so far.

Moe was a good driver and guide on our hike to Cameron Falls. He explained everything in both English and Chinese. The tour included a homemade lunch of grilled salmon and sausage at the company's lodge for viewing aurora boreal at night. The lodge didnt look like it was cleaned regularly which is why I'm giving 4 stars. That being said, I appreciated the proprietor communication with me on this tour and the previous one to see the city. I had several cancelations from other companies due to not enough people signing up and he kept me in the loop.
Thank you for sharing your experiences. We will strive to make changes based on guest responses.
We had a fantastic time on the group hike to Cameron Falls! The hike was not too difficult, and the views along the way were amazing! The lunch at a private lodge on the lake was also a wonderful setting and delicious! Our tour guide, Mo, was a very friendly and engaging host for the entire trip!

Thanks Mo for preparing everything for us. Nice hike, good explanation, great lunch I would recommend people to join this tour

I was very disappointed to receive an email only 1 hr before I was supposed to be picked up for this hike to tell me that they would be cancelling, and I could join at a later date (when I was no longer in Yellowknife). It wasn't because of the weather or because of any unforeseen circumstances, it was because I was the only person registered. Given that I was required to provide them with 24 hrs to cancel, I would have expected the same consideration. By the time they informed me of the cancellation, it was too late to make alternate plans, especially on a Sunday when so much of Yellowknife is closed. They provided me with a full refund, so I am glad of that, but so disappointed to have such short notice of the cancellation.
I am sorry this has occurred to you. We need to have at least 2 persons to be part of the 5hrs hike and BBQ Tour. We sometimes want to wait to see if others may join. We will strive to do better to communicate with guests ahead of time in these situations. Thank you for your understanding.
