A very well run tour. Our driver picked us up in Galle at our hotel and stopped for lunch, ( own expense) where we transferred to the safari Jeep. It was about 30 minutes to the park gate and we had nearly four hours in the park. Our safari driver was very informative and tried hard to find all the animals. I would recommend this day tour as very professional , safe and friendly.
We were able to see a variety of animals and birds and got lucky with a leapard walking right in front of our Jeep.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
Our guide was fantastic, we saw lots of animals without speeding around or harassing them. It really was a wonderful morning
Thank you for join with us this national park excursion and thank you again for the excellent review.
We spent five hours in the park Starting at 6 in the morning and it was fascinating. We saw a leopard, elephants and so many more animals and birds. Our driver/guide was excellent and I would highly recommend a visit. One thing which did amuse me was when an animal such as the leopard was spotted, the jeeps swarmed around. Wonder if you would describe it as a jostle if jeeps.
We've been picked up at the hotel at 3 a.m. Our driver was very nice and learned us a lot about Sri Lanka. His English was very good. After three hours we changed the taxi into a safari transport and were lucky about our private tour! Our safari guide was amazing as well! He went to places where not that much other drivers were and he was keen on showing us all types of animal Yala has. We saw baby gepards, elephants, bears, monleys, buffalos, pelicans and much more! Highly recommended!
We chose this agency well in advance and on their website and therefore... a little apprehension... Are they going to be there, on time, in the middle of the night, to make this long enough drive to YALA National Park? And... YES, on time and with a very friendly taxi driver and knowledgeable about the area. On the way back, he showed us beautiful trees in a swamp that are the refuge of huge bats! Simply breathtaking! Similarly the small restaurant by a beach where we could eat was simple but good.

This tour was fantastic! Our guide spoke great English and was very informative!

The tour was great. Mahesh was our guide and he was wonderful, and our driver did his best to try and find us some leopards. The park had some great off-roading moments which were a lot of fun. Unfortunately, didn't see any leopards, but had a great time nonetheless. Highly recommend.

3am pick up from our hotel in Galle to get to Yala for the early morning session was an early start, but one bonus was there was virtually no traffic to contend with...until we hit the ticket booth at Yala. There looked to be approx 200 other jeeps all waiting to buy entry tickets, so the guides lined up and you wait, which can take some time. Then you enter along with everyone else. It was very busy the morning we were there, not sure if this is the norm. There was a lot of dust, the roads are very rutted, and there were a lot of jeeps all trying to vie for spots along the tracks to see the animals and birds. At times, it can get very congested and by the time your vehicle gets a clear view, the animals can already be gone. Our guide got word that there were leopards at one spot, and by the time we got there, the line of vehicles along the track in both directions was overwhelming. We actually saw one accident along the way, where two jeeps had run into each other. An indication that numbers entering the park at the same time, should probably be more limited. That said, we were lucky enough to see many water buffalo, elephants up close, boars, peacocks, and many small birds. The leopards may have been illusive the day we were there, but the park itself has very beautiful scenery and is well worth the visit. Our guide and drivers were very competent, great at spotting the wildlife, and we felt safe the entire trip.

Great driver and guide. Very nice people and great tour. It might be better to stay the night in Yala, however it was a great experience none the less
