I arrived in Guilin afternoon at 2pm. Charles contacted me prior to my arrival date to make sure itinerary is all set when I arrived. We also had great conversations on the road. I have a short stay here and he took me to all the highlights of yangshuo and guilin. Overall if anyone is looking for either a private tour or driver I would recommend Charles.

All in all a fantastic day . Pick up by Sandy a top driver with great English in a lovely car and smooth ride to the splendour of Yangshuo. Amazing views , great food and totally chilled.left us with memories that will last a lifetime. And super value !

Very well and punctual organised tour despite not the best weather conditions on that day. Thanks our guide Jerry the tour was very interested in the nice atmosphere and we could visit the all planned points. Jerrys English is excellent and hi has explained us many interested things about Guilin and China. We have visited beautiful places and really enjoyed the whole day. 100% recommended.

I woke up early to the tour and o receive the message that the tour has been canceled. Why dont he message me early, why he confirmed the tour before trough TripAdvisor?? Now i dont have time to get to know Guilin and i live in south América, so i'll not be here again Very soon. I recommend try another place to book a Guide.

I had never met someone who could take me to the places I wanted to visit here in China like he did in one day.He picked me up at the hotel, he was on time , then we had a walk up Xianggong mountain, it was a beautiful view, the river looked amazing it was breathtaking. after this we went to a finish show, we saw a performance of a man catching fish and it was amazing, we went to the old Xingping town to see the spot area of ​​the famous 20 ¥. It was a very good decision to write to him and trust his service, because it really was a success. He is a very kind, respectful person and helped me discover wonderful places in Guillin. If you plan to come to the city, do not hesitate to write it, it is worth it and you will not regret it, you will take incredible experiences that you can never forget. I booked this last minute the day before. I wasn’t sure what to expect as there weren’t many reviews but I shouldn’t have been concerned it was awesome! I contacted the company to confirm they’d received the booking and gave Charles my WeChat and we communicated on there. He picked me up at 8am and we drove to the 5 finger mountain. The drive is through rural villages and there were zero tourists. It took about 35 minutes to climb the mountain - it’s steep and all steps and with the 30degree heat and my weight I was questioning it but the view was breathtaking. He walked down quicker to get the air con going in the car for me. We stopped at a little shop for cold drinks. Then we drove to a beautiful 500 year old bridge and took photos. Then off for lunch - traditional Guilin rice noodles. Then we drove to another scenic spot with wicker statues in the fields; water wheels and watched people being punted down the river on bamboo rafts. We stopped for ice cream and then drove to the moon hill photo spot. After this we drove to Xingping village and strolled the streets and stopped for another cold drink. Then onto the ferry to get to the fisherman. They don’t fish this way anymore so it’s important to get the right guide to arrange it or you’ll be stopped countless times by random guys in modern clothes with a bamboo stick and two cormorants tied to it. I definitely had the best location and shots despite the overcast weather. Then we drove through the mountain pass on the way home. I’ve only had to pay for ice lollies and cold drinks all day - everything was included in the price. Charles stayed as long or as little in a place as I wanted; took photos of me (hard to do on your own as a solo traveller); carried the gifts I bought my friends; helped me practise my Chinese all day and was literally a gem of a find amid the big companies showcasing their offers on this site. I’ve arranged to go to the Longji rice fields on another day. Absolutely book this trip if you don’t want tourist traps, your own pace; traditional food and views to die for.

Charles is an excellent driver and informative guide. He drove us to the rice Terraces on private excursion, we were wanting to avoid busy tour buses and forced lunches, and kitschy gift shops! Charles was able to drive us to the rice Terraces while providing great history and information all while being an incredibly safe driver! He was on time, prompt and told us where to go and what to do! Would recommend Charles to any western visitors! Friendly, no scams and speaks great English!
