We zullen naar het marktplein lopen waar je de eerste twee markante herkenningspunten ziet, het Falkenhaus, een herberg uit de 18e eeuw met een mooie gevel van rococo. Net ten noorden van de markt ligt de Marienkapele (Mariakapel) met zijn goed bewaard gebleven gotische architectuur en prachtige beelden gemaakt door de beroemde Duitse beeldhouwer Tilman Riemenschneider. Het is een korte wandeling vanaf daar naar het stadhuis en de grote barokke fontein, de "Vierröhrenbrunnen", vanaf dit punt zullen we de oude brug over de hoofdrivier oversteken die ook een geweldige fotomoment is. (Optioneel op deze tour is het Marienberg-fort aan de overkant van de rivier, bereikbaar met het openbaar vervoer of te voet. Het is ongeveer 20 minuten lopen naar het fort als u liever wandelt en vanaf daar heeft u een spectaculair uitzicht op de Main De vallei van de rivier en de stad Op weg naar beneden, over de brug, begeven we ons naar de residentie, een groot barok stadspaleis., onder de residentie bevindt zich de Staatlicher Hofkeller, de oude wijnkelder van het koninklijk hof die enkele van de beste wijnen van de regio, een handel waar deze stad beroemd om is!

Elizabeth was excellent. Very knowledgeable, good communication, answered all questions, highly recommend.
Since we unfortunately had 2 hours train delay we could not use the full 2 hours of the tour. Nevertheless, Ms Nickel took a little longer to show us some of Würzburg. Her stories were very refreshing and entertaining. Furthermore, she and a few more tips on what else we can do. On the whole, we really liked the tour. Thank you for this

It was more like share a drink. No AH moment even from a distance along river banks. There was a spot I saw clamped of locked keys.

Stefanie was fantastic. We have traveled to a lot of countries with various guides and she was by far the best. She enjoys people and has guided for over 20 years. It showed. She provided in detail background history of the famous sights. We had great conversation throughout the tour. She knew what would be open, such as cathedrals etc. She packed a lot in; 3 hours worth of content in 2 hours. She made the best use of our time. It was truly an enjoyable experience. Anyone is fortunate to have Stefanie as their guide.

Our guide, Stefanie A, was the BEST walking tour guide I've EVER had. She is classy, well-spoken and eloquent and a beautiful story teller! I could listen to hear speak all day. I was traveling with a group of 12 students from a community college in Texas and met my German exchange student in Würzburg with his family who speak limited English, but because of her slow, clear and beautiful communication, they were able to understand most of the tour in English! She is so regal and such a joy and I feel so blessed we got to have her twice (part one on our arrival day in Würzburg, and then again on Sunday, December 15th. Thank you for such a wonderful tour, Stefanie, and for helping me pick the perfect wine in the Residenz Gift Shop! I shared it with friends when I got home to Texas and it was delicious!
