Tijdens deze wandeltocht leer je de stad ten volle kennen. Je kunt op een ontspannen en gemakkelijke manier wandelen met je vriendelijke en deskundige lokale gids in het Engels, die je de belangrijkste, interessantste en intrigerende verhalen over de stad Wroclaw gaat vertellen.

Je tour begint op het marktplein (Rynek), waar je het unieke laatgotische stadhuis zult zien. Je gaat verder naar het historische Salt Square, waar vandaag een mooie bloemenmarkt is gevestigd
Dit paar huurkazernes uit verhalenboeken staat plaatselijk bekend als 'Jaś i Małgosia', of gewoonlijk 'Hans en Grietje' voor buitenlanders, blijkbaar omdat de verbindingsboog symbolisch is voor een paar dat elkaars hand vasthoudt. Ze zijn gebouwd in respectievelijk de 16e en 18e eeuw en zijn het enige dat overblijft van de rij herenhuizen die ooit rond de begraafplaats van St. Elizabeth's cirkelden.
Dan slenterend door de middeleeuwse straatjes ga je naar de universiteitscampus. Het hoofdgebouw op de campus is een treffend voorbeeld van barokke architectuur uit de tijd van Habsburg.
Vervolgens heb je wat tijd om rond te dwalen in een lokale markthal, waar je de kleurrijke stands kunt bewonderen met vers fruit en groenten te koop.
onze tour eindigt in het oudste deel van Wroclaw, Ostrow Tumski. Deze locatie heeft een unieke religieuze sfeer met zijn vele kerken, kloosters en andere katholieke instellingen. Hier bezoekt u de kathedraal van St. Johannes de Doper, de laatste stop tijdens uw tour. Je leert over het begin van het christendom in Polen en ook over de ernstige schade die de kathedraal leed tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog.

Absolutely fabulous walking tour of the old town. Our guide was so knowledgeable and provided us with such interesting information about the history of Wrocław. I would highly recommend this tour. We really enjoyed the route taken and some of the views taken were breathtaking

Sean was an excellent guide. We do many walking tours and this is the first time we had a guide who communicated so much information in such a quick and interesting way. Two hours zoomed by and we learned so much without feeling overloaded with information. I would definitely recommend Sean, you won’t regret it!
And it all started so well. Sean conducted what was probably the best walking tour my wife and I have ever been on. He was engaging, knowledgeable and really loved his job. The weather was atrocious but Sean still made the best of it. Everything was ruined when we feel he simply abandoned us outside the Cathedral at tour's end. We hadn't a clue where we were, how to get back to our hotel and Sean didn't really care. We made our way back via Google Maps Sean is an excellent guide but a poor host Pity

From the beginning of our guide's tour presentation, my wife and I knew we were in for a special time for the next three hours. Our guide, "Sean," had historical pictures, photographs, and maps to assist and support his descriptions of the many places of interest we would encounter along our walk together. As Americans, we were pleased that the Viator assigned tour guide spoke fluent English. Even though we would have to cut the tour short due to unanticipated soreness from a prior all-day tour to one of Poland's famous castles and the Church of Peace (also arranged through Viator), the Wroclaw Old Town Guided Walking Tour was filled with exciting, interesting, and useful information. In our opinion, this tour offers great value for its low price. It is highly recommended!
