De South Shore-tour neemt je mee door het prachtige en gevarieerde landschap van Zuid-IJsland en toont je plaatsen die de droom van een natuurliefhebber zijn. Cascading watervallen, laagland landbouwgrond, hoge zeekliffen, zwarte lavazand stranden, vulkanische rotsformaties en gletsjers zijn allemaal ervaren tijdens deze spannende dagtocht. Deze kleine groepsreis bestaat uit een gids, ophalen en afzetten van het hotel en vervoer. Mis niet de kans om de verbazingwekkende waterval Seljalandsfoss te bekijken, waar je achter de waterval zelf loopt. De tour stopt ook bij Skógarfoss en dat is een van de grootste watervallen van het land met een breedte van 25 meter (82 voet) en een val van 60 m (200 ft). Op de terugweg volgt u de kustlijn en rijdt u naar het beroemde zwarte zandstrand of Reynisfjara .

Deze adembenemende waterval laat je mond openvallen. Je hebt zeker foto's gezien van Seljalandasfoss, maar er gaat niets boven de ervaring om een beetje nat te worden wanneer je achter het vallende water loopt!
Ontdek de magische charme van Gljúfrabúi, een verborgen waterval verborgen in een smalle canyon. Deze unieke plek biedt een onvergetelijke en bijna sprookjesachtige ervaring, als het weer het toelaat.
Deze waterval is een heel ander beest! Een enorme hoeveelheid water valt naar beneden met enorme kracht en vormt een altijd aanwezige watermist die prachtige regenbogen creëert. Het voelt alsof je ze bijna kunt aanraken.
We zullen nog een stop maken in dit charmante stadje.
Dit is zeker een van de helderste hoogtepunten van deze tour. Door National Geographic uitgeroepen tot een van de top 10 stranden van de wereld, zal deze spectaculaire locatie u sprakeloos laten. Basaltstapels, brullende golven en een verbluffend landschap!
Prachtige locatie waar je de gletsjer van dichtbij kunt ervaren! Loop langs de gletsjerlagune en raak de ijsberg aan.

BELANGRIJK : Het ophalen begint om 8u30 en vindt meestal plaats tussen 8u30 en 9u00. Zorg er dus voor dat u om 8.30 uur klaarstaat bij uw ophaallocatie. OPMERKING : Houd er rekening mee dat deze tour wordt uitgevoerd door onze vertrouwde partner en biedt gratis ophalen en wegbrengen bij hotels in Reykjavik. Aangezien bussen niet zijn toegestaan om te rijden in bepaalde gebieden van Reykjavik centrum, kan uw pick-up zijn van de dichtstbijzijnde bushalte #. Als u geen hotel of BUS STOP# markeert voor ophalen, is de standaard ophaalplaats BUS STOP #8. Als uw ophaallocatie niet op onze ophaallijst staat, vragen we u vriendelijk om het dichtstbijzijnde ophaalpunt (Hotel of BUS STOP #) bij uw accommodatie te vinden op de onderstaande kaart of lijst en ons daar te ontmoeten voor uw tour. Eén – twee dagen voor de tour zullen we u op de hoogte brengen van uw exacte ophaallocatie en we zullen u alle update-info vertellen als dat nodig is. We doen ook pick-ups van de volgende BUSHALTES : #1, #3, #4, #5, #6, #8, #9, #12, #13 en #15 in Reykjavik, omdat sommige hotels zijn gelegen binnen het verkeer beperkt gebieden.

Our vacation was coming to an end and there was time for only one tour. Literally the day before as my eyes are going wonky trying to figure what to choose but we knew we had to see more of beautiful Iceland. Finally decided on this one from EastWest which was the right choice and Devin with his very well spoken English and vast Icelandic knowledge really cement it. The glacier waterfalls are beautiful, the landscapes are wondrous and seeing the countryside makes you further appreciate the country. It’s a long day due these spots being further away from the city but plenty of bathroom breaks and a lunch break. You are not rushed at any of itinerary spots. This small group tour is also great because your tour guide (if you are lucky will get Devin) will pivot if one spots is too crowded or the weather is not ideal and will circle back to it. Definitely recommend this tour.
This was the best day of my life. The waterfalls and glacier were breathtaking. A once in a lifetime experience for sure!

The landscape of the south coast is definitely worth a visit. Overall, the tour was well-paced and our guide was decent, but not exceptional. He did an excellent job of warning us of how to be cautious around the surging waves of the black sand beach, and provided some good information, but possibly could have been a bit more informative. However, it was still a solid tour that I recommend. One word of caution: Back To Iceland did not seem to operate this tour. Our instructions for meeting the van said to look for a Back To Iceland sign. However, our bus was labelled as EastWest tours: a different company. All went smoothly, and the guide jumped out at our stop and specifically asked for us by name. However, it seems like Back to Iceland does not fully operate their own tours with their own labelled vans.

This tour is good, not great. You see a beach, some waterfalls, a glacier, which are all cool, but not necessarily special. We enjoyed the experience and would still recommend doing it, but our silver circle tour was better. Of course it is a matter of opinion. What you should know is the tour operator and guide are great as well as the vehicle they use to transport you.

Just returned from 8 day Northern Lights tour with Nordic Visitor tour group. A wonderful trip. We traveled the Ring Road around the Island. Our guide Dagur was great. His entertaining stories made us laugh as we learned about the History and Culture of Iceland. Nordic Visitors picked us up from the airport, we booked an extra stop at the Blue Lagoon and the driver waited up to 2 hours for us then continued to the hotel. We started our tour the next morning. We traveled the Golden Circle, then started making our way around the island, hitting all the major points of interest and a few lesser known ones. The accomodations were all clean and comfortable. Most breakfasts and dinners were included. Our main desire was to see the Northern Lights and we saw them 4 evenings. Being on the Ring road was helpful with less light pollution and it seemed the coastal areas of the east and north were more likely to have clear skies at night. All of the locals were very helpful and tapping a credit card made shopping easy everywhere without having to worry about having Icelandic Krona. Free Wi-Fi was available just about everywhere we went. Our tour had a maximum of 16 and no minimum so we didn't have to worry about the tour being canceled on us last minute. We had 13 in our group. We booked our own flights through Iceland Air. A direct flight from Orlando, Florida was reasonably priced and we drove down from Jacksonville, Florida. Iceland Air seemed to have direct flights from many major hubs. We did not have any cons to the trip. I highly recommend Nordic Visitors as a tour group and hopefully you can also get Dagur for the guide.
The guide demonstrated excellent knowledge and provided clear, insightful explanations throughout the tour. The overall experience was highly satisfying, with ample time allocated to explore all the destinations. I’d highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a memorable tour!
We booked a private tour to the South Coast with Back to Iceland and weren’t disappointed. Anton our guide picked us up at our hotel in a minibus so we had plenty of space for the four of us. We visited all the places on the itinerary and more.. Anton provided lots of information as we were driving about Iceland and the places we were passing as well as little stories and jokes. We had a brilliant day on the South Coast and would highly recommend both Back to Iceland and Anton. There weren’t many reviews on the Facebook groups I’d joined prior to our trip about Back to Iceland but we couldn’t fault them!
