⚠️ Nieuw voertuig vanaf maart 2026! Hallo beste bezoeker, ik heet Arnaud en zal uw gids zijn – een geboren en getogen inwoner van de prachtige Provence. Van de vijf routes die ik aanbied, neem ik u vandaag mee naar de wijngaarden in het zuiden van de Côtes du Rhône, waaronder Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Verschillende opties mogelijk: OPTIE 1 • April tot oktober (van 9.30 tot 15.30 uur): proeverij van minimaal 9 wijnen bij 3 wijnhuizen, waarvan één in Châteauneuf-du-Pape als afsluiting van de route. Na de tweede proeverij is er een picknick inbegrepen, uitsluitend bestaande uit verse producten van lokale boerderijen. OPTIE 2 • het hele jaar door (van 14.00 tot 18.30 uur): dezelfde route, maar zonder picknick. OPTIE 3 • het hele jaar door (van 9.30 tot 12.30 uur): slechts 2 wijndomeinen, waarvan 1 in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, zonder picknick. OPTIE 4 • het hele jaar door (van 9.30 tot 12.30 uur): slechts 2 wijndomeinen, uitsluitend in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, zonder picknick.

Reisroute
Na ongeveer 45 minuten rijden vanuit Avignon volgt een stop bij een wijndomein in Beaumes-de-Venise of Rasteau – streken die bekendstaan om hun *vin doux naturel* (Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise en VDN Rasteau), maar ook om hun rode wijnen. Daarna ongeveer 15 minuten rijden naar de volgende proeverij.
Stop bij een tweede wijndomein in het appellatiegebied van Gigondas (of Cairanne of Séguret), dat bekendstaat om zijn rode wijnen, maar sinds 2023 ook witte wijn produceert. Cairanne is sinds 2016 een appellatie voor rode en witte wijn, terwijl Séguret onder de appellatie Côtes du Rhône Villages valt voor rode, witte en roséwijn. Na de proeverij volgt een picknick die uitsluitend bestaat uit verse producten van lokale boerderijen (alleen van april tot oktober, indien de tour op die dag start en u kiest voor de optie met 3 proeverijen). De opties met 2 proeverijen zijn exclusief picknick. Vervolgens ongeveer 30 minuten rijden naar Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Wijnproeverij van wijnen uit de appellatie Châteauneuf-du-Pape, wereldberoemd om zijn rode wijnen, maar ook een producent van witte wijnen, die gemiddeld 8% van de jaarlijkse productie uitmaken. We bezoeken een gerenommeerd familiedomein in Châteauneuf-du-Pape om minstens één witte wijn en twee rode wijnen te proeven. Daarna een half uur rijden terug naar Avignon.

5 STARS! Our tour guide made this trip exceptional! He was extremely knowledgeable, very accommodating & friendly, plus he never rushed us at all. His English was textbook! The 3 stops we made were well chosen for good wines & very friendly vineyard hosts. Our guide packed a fresh lunch for us, grown locally. He offered to store our purchases in his cooler. Accompanied us on garden walks pointing out the names of the herbs & the flowers. He always offered to take photos. Wife noted that the van was very clean & she loved all the water he had for us. She said she felt like we were wine tasting with a friend. Look no further- this is the tour to book.

Arnaud was a fabulous host and tour guide. Our group was very diverse (a couple from Switzerland, a couple from Australia, a woman from Hungary, a gentleman from Canada (French speaking), and a gentleman from California who moved to France 4 years ago) and me (an American from Florida). Luckily for me, everyone (including Arnaud) was comfortable with English. He was so knowledgeable about each of the histories of the wineries and the history of wine making in that area. We were greeted at each winery with a sommelier who guided us through their process. After the second winery, we had a delicious family-style meal compliments of Arnaud himself. He had fresh goat cheeses from his village, two types of tapenades (the black olive one was delish), fresh hard boiled eggs from his parents' farm, and the freshest cantaloupe I've ever had. We sat at a picnic table under a tree in the vineyard with a breeze blowing. I felt like a true Parisian! By far an amazing tour. I had a day to spend alone in Avignon and I was thrilled to spend it with these other travelers, lovely wines, and a fantastic tour guide. Book this tour. Arnaud is a one man business and deserves many years of tours. If this is any indication of the quality of tours he offers, I would have loved to try his other four tours. Very nice tour with 3 stops at different winemakers. The picnic was amazing and our tour guide was fluent in English and very competent. We learned a lot and tasted some really nice wine.

It was a beautiful experience. The guide is independent and does it all alone; he is very accommodating and has great knowledge about the wines, vineyards, and the history. He is well prepared with a cooler in the van (so that the wines you bought do not go bad during the trip), he distributes water to the whole group, and is really very caring. It is definitely worth it!
Arnaud did a great job. We were lucky and no one else was booked with us so it was a very private tour. All three wineries were great. The picnic lunch was great with a variety of items to eat and a great picnic area at the second winery. Arnaud has a great knowledge of wine and the area. You will not regret booking this tour!

Arnoud gave us a wonderful experience through the eyes of someone who has the region in his heart. Cherries from his dad’s orchard was a added bonus for lunch.
