Golden's op één na oudste nog in bedrijf zijnde brouwerij, gelegen in de achtertuin van een oud, Victoriaans herenhuis.
Het oudste staande hotel van Colorado, het Astor House, is nu een kunstgalerie. De tour komt buiten langs om zijn verhaal te vertellen, maar als je tijd hebt kun je daarna gratis door de galerie bladeren.
Downtown Golden was op de zetel van de Colorado Gold Rush en was de territoriale hoofdstad lang voordat Denver het van ons wegnam! We lopen door de straten van deze historische stad om te zien waar Coors zich vestigde, een bandietenbende werd neergeschoten, en waar Buffalo Bill stopte voor een drankje. We stoppen ook om wat lokale gerechten te proeven.
Vriendelijke brouwerij net buiten de gebaande paden waar we onze verhalen over het Wilde Westen en de geschiedenis van Golden zullen afronden.

My first time attending a history pub crawl Had a great time! Would definitely recommend Kristina as your guide!
Too long. Only walked about 10 blocks (or less) total. Too much detailed talking. Wouldn’t call this a pub crawl - more like a history lesson. A few interesting stories but too much!!!

My goal is to bring the history to life in an entertaining fashion, and this response tells me I have the wrong people at the helm. I'm so sorry you didn't have a good time, and if you can ever make it back I'll love to make it up to you, but thank you for sharing your experience so I can fix this for future patrons.
Honestly Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable (or appeared to be) but the whole experience was not as advertised (at least in our expectations). This would have been much more tolerable if it had been half as long. We have been on a few pub/history tours in the past and this fell significantly below expectations. I honestly cannot believe someone can talk that long with no interaction. It felt like we were in a middle school social studies class with no escape. While the facts (or maybe not?) were interesting for a while the intricate details were totally unnecessary and exhausting. While we appreciated Jonathans extensive descriptions it was just completely over the top; we literally felt hostage. I cannot begin to explain how this experience could have been better - it just needs a total reimagination.
I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy the tour. I created the route to be informative but at the core entertaining, and I'm disappointed to hear that Jonathan deliver on both. Thank your for your honest review, and this is something I'll be resolving ASAP.

Jonathan made what was already a fun idea into an amazing afternoon!! The tour took us to places in golden we had never known about and we heard countless stories about the Wild West and the founding of the city. We felt the tour was a great value and Jonathan made sure our needs were met at each stop. My only regret was not getting a group photo! We had a blast and would come back again in a minute

Such a fun way to learn about the history of Colorado and Golden. Chris is an amazing guide. The breweries we visited provided us to sit and relax while Chris told us the stories of the west. Then we had time to talk with others in the group and made some new friends.
