Kom en ervaar de smaken, kleuren en smaken van de Canarische Eilanden in het hart van de vulkaan! Wij wachten op u in een fantastische wijnmakerij gelegen boven de Atlantische Oceaan. In ongeveer 2 uur van onze ervaring krijgt u de mogelijkheid om lokale wijnen en heerlijke Canarische tapas te proeven. We wandelen door de wijngaard en ademen de zuivere lucht van de bergen in, terwijl we het spectaculaire uitzicht over de oceaan bewonderen. U krijgt interessante informatie over de exploitatie van de wijngaard , de lokale legendes en geschiedenis. Alles in een zeer ontspannen sfeer onderhouden door vriendelijke mensen, lekkere lokale tapas en grote Canarische wijnen.
De Pino Gordo (vertaald als "Vette Pijnboom") is een van de meest iconische natuurlijke bezienswaardigheden in Tenerife, gelegen in het charmante bergdorp Vilaflor, het hoogstgelegen dorp van de Canarische Eilanden. Deze majestueuze Canarische dennenboom (Pinus canariensis) valt op door zijn indrukwekkende grootte en leeftijd. Met een stamomtrek van meer dan 9 meter en een hoogte van ongeveer 45 meter is de Pino Gordo de grootste en oudste pijnbomen van de Canarische Eilanden, naar schatting meer dan 800 jaar oud. Omgeven door dennenbossen, is de boom gemakkelijk bereikbaar via een kort pad en is goed aangegeven. De omgeving is rustig en biedt een perfecte plek voor foto's, wandelingen in de natuur, en een diepere waardering van de unieke flora van het eiland. Zijn veerkracht en levensduur zijn ook symbolisch voor het vulkanische en natuurlijke erfgoed van het eiland.
Vilaflor is een prachtig historisch dorp in het hart van Tenerife met een hoogte van 1.400 meter boven de zeespiegel en is de hoogst gelegen stad op de Canarische Eilanden. Het ligt ten zuiden van het Nationaal Park de Teide en heeft unieke landschappen en dennenbossen. De oude koloniale kerk en de oude Canarische huizen zijn een genot voor de geschiedenis fans.
Los Roques is een verborgen juweeltje dat een rustige ontsnapping uit de meer drukke toeristische gebieden van het eiland biedt. Dit pittoreske dorpje staat bekend om zijn karakteristieke grotwoningen, structuren die op ingenieuze wijze in de rotsformaties zijn ingebouwd, als weerspiegeling van traditionele architectonische praktijken die zijn aangepast aan het vulkanische landschap. Deze unieke woningen bieden een kijkje in het culturele erfgoed van het eiland en de vindingrijkheid van de inwoners. Grenzend aan het dorp ligt een betoverend zwart zandstrand, een kenmerkend kenmerk van Tenerife's vulkanische oorsprong. Het strand, wordt omlijst door indrukwekkende rotsformaties aan weerszijden, het creëren van een afgelegen en serene omgeving. Het donkere zand contrasteert prachtig met het heldere Atlantische water en biedt bezoekers een rustige plek om te ontspannen en te genieten van de natuurlijke schoonheid van de omgeving.

Candelaria, gelegen aan de oostkust van Tenerife, is een charmant stadje dat bekend staat om zijn diepe culturele en religieuze betekenis. De Basilica de Candelaria, gewijd aan de Virgen de Candelaria, de beschermheilige van de Canarische Eilanden, is een bezienswaardigheid die u niet mag missen. In de buurt boeit het Centrale Plein bezoekers met zijn iconische Canarische houten balkons en levendige sfeer. Wandelend langs de Promenade van de Guanche Koningen, kom je indrukwekkende standbeelden tegen ter ere van de inheemse leiders van het eiland. De voetgangersvriendelijke straten zijn bezaaid met winkels die unieke souvenirs en zelfgemaakt ijs verkopen, waardoor het de perfecte plek is om te ontspannen en te genieten van de lokale charme.

Our guide / photographer really made this trip exceptional! This was more than a wine tour although the wine and tapas were amazing. Theo pointed out so many things we wouldn’t have known about and stopped and some really unique places. One of the best days we had in Tenerife! Theo was an outstanding guide. This is a private tour with a stop at a winery with a tour by the owner. Wine was wonderful! We toured vila de flor and cathedral and Candalaria and the Cathedral. Theo told engaging stories and we learned much about the history of the Island. We signed up for a second tour with him to the North side of the island. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful day with Theo. We drove up to the LaLaguna area. On the way, Theo gave us a lot of information about the history of the island and the indigenous people. We stopped at an aloe farm and had a wonderful tour with Satu. From there we went to a winery and learned about how they farm and harvest the grapes along with the tastings and some tapas pairings. We also went to a local Canarian restaurant and had some wonderful paella. We ended the day touring the Candelaria area. We saw the Basilica of Our Lady of Candelaria, had some gelato, and walked around town. The whole day, Theo was able to educate us about the places we visited. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Tenerife and learn about the island and experience some of its food, wine, and culture.

Great tour! Theo is a great host. The winery was amazing with many great wine and tapas. Lunch at the restaurant is a must. Nice walk through the gorge. Would wish for more than one winery visit and less time with other activities, but thats just my opinion :).

Theo was an excellent host. The communication before the trip was perfect with an itinerary outlined and the pickup time and location clear. He arrived as scheduled and, as we drove, further explained what the day would entail stressing that it was our day and we could take longer or shorter times as we wished. The aloe vera farm we visited was very interesting with the host there extremely knowledgable and enthusiastic about the aloe vera plant properties. It had a very peaceful and beautiful garden. We then visited a vineyard where, again, the host was very welcoming and accommodating. Theo took the role of translator for us as our Spanish was very limited. We sampled an array of wines and left feeling very mellow indeed! Theo arranged for us to have lunch at an out of the way and truly authentic Spanish restaurant. He liaised with the waiter and ordered us a mixture of dishes which were by far the best food we had on our holiday. All in all the day was the highlight of our holiday in Tenerife. We would definitely recommend Theo and his private tours.
