Ontdek Pune's fascinerende reis van een bescheiden gehucht naar een bloeiende metropool tijdens deze verrijkende erfgoedwandeling. Onder leiding van een deskundige lokale Gids, die meer dan 1000 erfgoedwandelingen heeft uitgevoerd, begint u aan een 2,2 km lange verkenningstocht door het dichte stadscentrum, waarbij u 9 belangrijke bezienswaardigheden ontdekt. Deze ervaring gaat niet alleen over het bezoeken van sites; het gaat over het verbinden van de punten tussen het verleden, het heden en de toekomst van Pune, en het ontrafelen van de essentie van de evolutie van de stad. Onze wandeling begint vanuit Shaniwarwada, ooit een residentie van de Peshwas, waar we belangrijke locaties in het paleis bestrijken en een context schetsen voor onze erfgoedwandeling.

Een groentemarkt uit het koloniale tijdperk helpt ons de overgang van Pune naar een koloniale stad en daarbuiten te waarderen. Ook sluiten we de erfgoedwandeling af met veel verbindingen met het verleden, heden en de toekomst van de stad.

We had an absolutely delightful experience exploring the old town of Pune with Dhruv as our guide. My daughter and I were both completely captivated by his deep knowledge of the city's history — he brought every street, temple, and old building to life with fascinating stories and context that we would never have discovered on our own. Dhruv has a wonderful way of explaining Pune's rich historical significance — from its Peshwa-era heritage to the everyday life of the old town — making it engaging and easy to understand for both adults and kids. He was patient, warm, and clearly passionate about sharing the city's culture and legacy. If you're visiting Pune and want more than just a surface-level tour, book with Dhruv. I had a great time doing this heritage walk with Dhruv. I was just the only person for this walk but Dhruv made me feel so comfortable and welcome. Dhruv is an amazing tour guide and knows a great deal about the city and the places he takes you too. You learn a lot about the Marathas and the Peshwas and what impact they had on the region. Highly recommend!
Dhruv brings the city alive across history, current affairs and contextualises the geography and contemporary/ pop culture along with that. It was a unique walk with him and he definitely brings a lot of personality to it.

I was visiting Pune with a few friends who were there for the first time and we thought it would be a great idea to do a tour for them also to get a glimpse of the history and for us also to relearn these stories and why we know of them. Koustubh was our guide for the same and it was great to hear all these stories while walking through these streets that we have wandered before with a new understanding and a very interactive experience of the two. My friend who isn’t from around here also really enjoyed learning new facts and information about the city. It was a very fun walk and talk and would definitely recommend it to someone visiting Pune for the first time.
