Spring aan boord van onze luxe voertuigen om de iconische Whitney Plantation te verkennen. Op de ochtend van uw tour zal onze chauffeur u vóór aankomst bellen en u ook begroeten wanneer hij of zij arriveert. Terwijl hij of zij naar de plantage reist, wijst hij of zij onderweg op interessante feiten, luisterend naar verschillende soorten New Orleans-jazzmuziek. Bij aankomst op de plantage zullen ze je inchecken en je informatie geven voor het begin tot het einde van de tour, zoals wat je na de tour kunt verkennen en waar je elkaar kunt ontmoeten als de tour voorbij is. De zelfgeleide tour duurt één uur en vijftien minuten. We geven onze gasten de tijd om het museum te verkennen en het toilet te gebruiken voordat ze terugkeren naar de stad. Deze tour gaat twee keer uit van 08.00 uur tot ongeveer 13.30 uur. en van 10.00 uur tot ongeveer 15.30 uur. deze keer is inclusief tour- en reistijd.

Binnen de grenzen van de "Habitation Haydel", zoals de Whitney Plantation oorspronkelijk heette, was het verhaal van de Haydel-familie van Duitse immigranten en de slaven die ze vasthielden met elkaar verweven. In 2014 opende de Whitney Plantation voor het eerst in zijn 262-jarige geschiedenis zijn deuren voor het publiek als het enige plantagemuseum in Louisiana met een focus op slavernij. Door museumexposities, herdenkingskunst, gerestaureerde gebouwen en honderden first-person slavenverhalen, krijgen bezoekers van Whitney een uniek perspectief op het leven van de tot slaaf gemaakte mensen in Louisiana.

Our driver was great and very knowledgeable. He was professional, punctual, and kept us on schedule throughout the trip. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting New Orleans!
It was a wonderful excursion. Our guide Edward, was phenomenal. He shared so much more than what was at the museum.
You are on your own when it comes to adjustments due to weather. We had tornado and flood warnings. I called to see if the trip to the plantation was cancelled. Viator told us to check with the sponsor. We called, and were told to leave a message, and that they would get an answer on the next business day! It was FRIDAY! We took an Uber to the meeting place ($20), and was THEN called to reset the tour at noon! We had plans. Another $20 home. Viator should ALWAYS be able to get in touch with the sponsor, and be expected to make sure that we were notified! I am out $40, which was 2/3 the cost of the tour itself! Crappy business that I will never trust again!
This was my second time with Legendary Tours and it was just as amazing as the first time. Edward was do knowledgeable and funny. He alone is worth the ride but the destination is the Plantations which, is another experience all on its own. Do yourself a favor and book immediately!

Amazing experience. I loved the handheld devices that gave you the history as you went from each exhibit. Our driver Edward was very knowledgeable about the area and gave great history lessons on the way up and back. I liked how our group was small.

Very informative and definitely a must for everyone. Such a great experience. I did the self pace tour and was able to take my time within the timeframe to be back to the bus. We talk about this tour and tell everyone we know to experience it at least once.
