Kaituna Cascades was het oorspronkelijke bedrijf om de Kaituna-rivier te verkennen en te beginnen met raften, en is nog steeds lokaal eigendom van en wordt beheerd door twee huidige vlotgidsen - dus je weet dat je in goede handen bent !! Nergens ter wereld kun je zo'n prachtige rivier afvaren die afdaalt in een verticaal ommuurde kloof vol met vlottende watervallen en talloze speelse stroomversnellingen. Het water is diep en warm (het grootste deel van het jaar) en is meestal een hoogtepunt van mensen die NZ bezoeken. Al onze gidsen zijn zorgvuldig uitgekozen, zeer bekwame professionals die afkomstig zijn uit een extreme wildwaterachtergrond in kajakken en raften. We zullen je de veiligste en meest vermakelijke reis op de rivier geven! Dit is ook zeker de beste waar voor je geld raften in NZ. It was a lot of fun, guides were professional and just friendly. The guide was very skilled and handled the raft extremely well, enjoyed the trip and would do it again.

Highly recommend this trip -- we all had a great time! The full staff is great, and we loved our guide Balthazar. He did a great job keeping energy high, while making sure my daughter felt comfortable (she was a bit nervous for the waterfall). The waterfall was definitely a highlight -- unlike anything we have experienced on any other rafting trips. Also, we went in winter, and the wetsuits and gear were great quality and kept us warm. And make sure you grab lunch or a snack at the Okere Falls Store after!

Justin and I had an absolutely amazing time rafting with Kaituna Cascades today! From start to finish, the whole experience was incredibly well organized, fun, and professional. A huge thank you to our guide, Dan, who made the trip unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, funny, and gave us complete confidence on the river. His safety briefing was clear and thorough, and once we were on the water he struck the perfect balance between making us feel safe while also making sure we had an absolute blast. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and his enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. The Kaituna River is stunning, and tackling the rapids (especially the waterfalls!) was such an adrenaline rush. The photos and videos at the end were a fantastic bonus and captured the experience perfectly. If you’re visiting Rotorua and thinking about white water rafting, don’t hesitate—book with Kaituna Cascades. We couldn’t have asked for a better day, and we’ll be talking about this adventure for a long time. Thanks again, Dan, for an unforgettable experience!

They whole experience was easy well managed friendly and great fun. I phoned whilst coming into town. A human being answered the phone which is fantastic these days. Helpful friendly easy check in, give you some gear and 40mins later we are on the river. The guides are all great guys, clearly professional, know their stuff, and best of all make safety briefings and instructions clear concise and most of fun. Helped greatly putting some peoples concerns to rest. Great job guys.
