Monte Brasil ligt in Angra do Heroísmo, aan de zuidkust van het eiland Terceira, op de Azoren. bestaat uit een caldera omringd door vier toppen: Pico das Cruzinhas, Pico do Facho, Pico da Quebrada (waar de walvisuitkijk zich bevindt) en Pico do Zimbreiro.

We had a great time and were very pleased with what we saw and experienced, even in just half a day.
Great tour! very informative, our guide Jaime and his colleague i forgot his name were phenomenal! We were a group of 10 of all varieties of ages.They were so accommodating, the airline left our car seat behind in Boston and he brought his daughter's own car seat to assist us. There knowledge of the island history and passion for their line of work was impressive. Iwould do it all over again.
It was very good from start to finish. Always very helpful and attentive to leave us comfortable. I recommend.
The perfect half day trip for us. We saw some beautiful sites we would never have seen otherwise, learned more about the island from our excellent guide, Diego, and enjoyed a quick swim in the natural pools at Bisquoitos. I highly recommend.
We began at Monte Brasil, where we enjoyed spectacular views and learned about its fascinating geological formation and strategic importance throughout history. From there, we traveled through charming villages along the west coast, stopped to sample delicious cheese at the island's oldest cheese factory, and learned about Terceira's unique tradition of the running of the bulls. As we continued along the beautiful coastline, we visited the peaceful Serreta Forest before ending at the stunning natural lava pools of Biscoitos. Every stop offered something different, and James provided interesting stories and local insights that made the experience even more enjoyable. This was an excellent way to spend a half day on Terceira and discover many of the island's highlights. We highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see beyond the main towns and gain a deeper appreciation of this beautiful island.
We had a great time on this tour of the west side of Terceira. Loved learning about the history of the Azores and the island. The sightseeing was incredible, and the cheese tasting was lovely! We were so impressed by André’s knowledge and he was so personable and engaging which made us feel right at home on the island and very comfortable on the tour. Highly recommend this tour, don’t miss out!

We loved touring around the island with Amelia. She was charming, funny, and knowledgeable. Not to mention, she is fluent in at least three languages and drives a stick shift like a boss. Our group had six and then we picked up one Spanish-speaking couple for a total of eight. We were blown away by the sites at Monte Brasil, enjoyed seeing the fisherman town, loved the cheese tasting, and had a blast putting our feet in the water of the natural pools of Biscoitos. It gave us a brief taste of the island to know better what we wanted to see and do for the rest of our trip.
