Tijdens deze reis heeft u ruim de tijd om de historische stad Lagos te verkennen en enkele van de meest pittoreske punten van de Algarve te zien, waaronder Sagres, het 'einde van de wereld' en Baleeira vissersdorp. Beschut door een riviermonding, de stad Lagos heeft een geweldige locatie aan het strand en binnen het bereik van al dat geweldige landschap. Krijg je cultuurfix met een rondleiding door Lagos stad, plus vrije tijd om te genieten van de levendige straten en cafés. Uw rondleiding voert langs Praça do Infante om het standbeeld van Hendrik de Zeevaarder te zien, evenals het gebouw dat diende als de eerste slavenmarkt van Portugal. Daarna kunt u ervoor kiezen om uw tijd te besteden aan lunchen, winkelen of verkennen. Vervolgens bezoeken we Cabo de São Vicente, ook wel het ‘einde van de wereld’ genoemd – het meest zuidwestelijke punt van Europa. Genieten van deze uitzichten met uitzicht over de vissershaven van Baleeira is de perfecte manier om deze tour af te ronden.

The tour was wonderful, but the local tour company was poorly run. When I booked the tour, I didn't know where I would be staying, so I didn't pick a meeting point. As it got closer, I noticed one had been chosen for me by the company, but it wasn't near where I was staying, so I picked a place closer to the apartment where I was staying. I received notification of the change to the meeting place. It said I would be given an exact pickup time before the date of the tour. I did not, and I emailed the company to say I hadn't. No one responded to me, so we showed up at the pickup point at 8am to be safe. By 9:15ish, we were still waiting. We tried calling the local tour company but the calls wouldn't go through. I was FINALLY able to get through only to be told that they were going to the original meeting point, not the updated one. I was then told the bus that was in our area was full, and I had to reschedule the tour. I was unable to do that, since I was leaving the next day. THEY made the mistake, and were unwilling to provide alternative transportation. After MANY calls and suggestions on my part, we were told if we could get ourselves to a gas station on the highway, another bus could pick us up there for the tour. We took an Uber to the gas station and were picked up there. From then on, the tour itself was fabulous. Beware of the local tour companies. It wasn't Viator per say that messed up, but we almost missed a full day tour because of the mistake they made and lack of communication.

The experience was lovely. We spent the day seeing Lagos and Sagre. I have to say Sagre was an amazing spot! The tour guide explained us a lot of stuff during the day (he also translated the information in different languages). Staff very friendly.
