The tour was super informative, thorough and fun in spite of the hot blazing hot and heat. . Yasushi was fluent in English and spoke Spanish too and was so friendly and personable! I was so happy he was our guide and we had a small group so it was perfect! He was so nice and knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about sharing his country, its culture and history… he planned an excellent morning for us. The bus trip was comfortable and didn’t feel too long. We were given paper copies of a map, recommendations and very clear instructions to facilitate a smooth tour. Yasushi was so considerate and went the extra mile , always looking for shaded areas and making sure everyone had some background information on the Village before arriving . He made sure we understood how precious this little village is and how functional those wooden homes still are to this day. He made recommendations for food and areas to get the best photos for memories.We had much information and detailed context, it made Japan even more special to me! I love exploring in my own and I do this for part of my travel but having a local share his knowledge and love for his culture and heritage is priceless…Highly recommended!!

It was summer. Hot yes but fun none the less. Bus ride was fun as Yasushi-san was fun and informative. The visit was very interesting. Visited Wada house, a working family house.

Had a great experience with Yasushi visiting Shirakawa-go! He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and insightful. Learned a bunch about the history that we likely would have missed if we went to explore on our own. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience, Shirakawa-go is absolutely worth the trip! The tour is very convenient because it allows you to arrive early and enjoy the atmosphere in peace. Our guide, Keita, was truly knowledgeable and helpful, also telling us numerous interesting facts. Highly recommended!

Super worth it. Even when it’s a bit pricey, I definitely recommend taking this tour instead of going directly with a bus. Yasushi not only was a super knowledgeable tour guide but also truly and genuinely funny. It really made a difference to learn about Japan and Shirakawa with him.

Yasushi was a great and funny guide! His explanations were given in the bus so we had time to explore ourselves. He gave us great places to visit. We loved it! It is good to do this tour in the morning with less crowds.

Great experience indeed! The length of the visit is the right so you get to see the village without getting tired (especially in the summertime). Our guide was Yasushi, whose super friendly and fun! Also he speaks very good English so taught all of us in the bus a lot about Shirakawa-go and the history of Japan.
