Wandeltocht van Magome naar Tsumago vanuit Nagoya
Beschrijving
Vanuit Nagoya neemt u de trein en vervolgens de bus naar Magome, een van de poststeden langs de Nakasendo, de oude handelsroute die Tokio en Kyoto verbond tijdens de Edoperiode. Van daaruit wandelt u over het 7,8 kilometer lange pad naar het volgende postplaatsje Tsumago, een nog ouder en mooier bergdorp. De wandeling voert langs oude paden door bossen en prachtige natuur het hele jaar door. Bij Tsumago probeer je de lokale Hoba Miso voor de lunch en een heerlijk softijsje als dessert. Eindig uw tour met een bezoek aan het museum van de stad of een optionele houtwerkplaats (meerprijs).

Neem de trein van Nagoya naar Nakatsugawa.
Bezoek het poststadje Magome, kijk rond in de winkels en geniet van het uitzicht vanaf het uitkijkpunt.
Geniet van een 2-3 uur durende wandeling in de natuur langs de oude Nakasendo-snelweg tussen Magome en Tsumago.
Geniet van een heerlijke Hoba Miso-lunch in een Ryokan in Tsumago.
Bezoek het poststadje Tsumago, het Wakihonjin Museum en eet een kastanje-ijsje.
Neem de trein terug van station Nagiso naar Nagoya.

This is the tour my husband and I were looking forward to most on our honeymoon. It definitely lived up to our expectations! For this trip we focusing on nature/history/culture, so this hike was right up our alley. We went on the second day of our trip, and our guide Patricia quickly felt like a friend, and was open to any questions we had not only about the historic towns and landmarks on the trail, but also generally about life in Japan. The food was delicious, and very much welcome after the hike. We did not do the wood carving add-on, but only because we didn’t want to carry the wooden dishes so early on our trip (we packed light). However if we had planned on the hike near the end of our trip, I would have definitely wanted to do the wood carving add-on. Would recommend this tour if you are into nature/history/culture. We also plan to do more tours with NagoyaIsNotBoring if we are nearby in the future.

What an awesome tour. Despite the light rain all day, Desiree, our guide made the hike memorable. She was well organised and all the transport went smoothly. Desiree was knowledgeable on the region history, and ensured we had plenty of time for photos and to explore the Historic Magome and Tsumago. The lunch was delicious. All in all a fabulous day and so invigorating being in the forest. Highly recommend this tour - the company name says it all Nagoya is not Boring.
