De beste manier om deze prachtige stad en haar volledige schoonheid te zien, is 's avonds nadat de drukte voorbij is, auto's geparkeerd zijn en toeristen zich terugtrekken in hun hotels. Dit is een magische tijd wanneer de edelstenen van de stad verlicht zijn tegen de nachtelijke hemel.

Hier begint de wandeling. Hier hoor je niet alleen over de geschiedenis van Tsjecho-Slowakije en Tsjechië, maar leer je ook welke regio's het land vormen en ontdek je de belangrijkste historische wijken van Praag. Voordat je op pad gaat, hoor je ook iets over het iconische National Theatre-gebouw en de moderne tegenhanger ervan, de New Stage.
Kampa is een van de meest charmante en rustige hoekjes van Praag, gelegen tussen de rivier de Moldau en de historische Kleine Stad. Hier zie je ook de beroemde reuzenbabysculpturen van de Tsjechische kunstenaar David Černý – zowel vreemd als onvergetelijk!
De John Lennon Muur is een iconische plek in Praag, gevuld met levendige graffiti en boodschappen van vrede, liefde en vrijheid. Oorspronkelijk een symbool van verzet tijdens de communistische tijd, vandaag de dag is het een kleurrijke, steeds veranderende attractie geliefd bij de lokale bevolking en toeristen.
Vanaf de Karelsbrug kunt u genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op de Praagse Burcht, de rivier de Moldau en de historische skyline van de oude binnenstad.
De Sint-Nicolaaskerk in de Kleine Stad is een van de meest indrukwekkende barokke gebouwen in Praag, gemakkelijk herkenbaar aan de groene koepel en torenhoge klokkentoren. De prachtig versierde gevel maakt het een waar architectonisch hoogtepunt van het historische stadscentrum.
's Avonds wordt de Praagse Burcht prachtig verlicht, waardoor een magische sfeer boven de stad ontstaat. De prachtige Sint-Vituskathedraal wordt ook verlicht, met de nadruk op de dramatische gotische torens tegen de nachtelijke hemel.
Het Jan Palachplein is vernoemd naar de Tsjechische student die een nationaal symbool werd van protest en opoffering voor vrijheid. Dit ruime plein wordt omringd door belangrijke culturele instellingen, waaronder het Rudolfinum concertgebouw en de gebouwen van de Karelsuniversiteit. Met een prachtig uitzicht over de rivier en de nabijgelegen Praagse Burcht is het een populaire plek voor bezoekers en de lokale bevolking.

A very good private tour that takes you around the Prague Castle and the surrounding areas. The tour guide was super-friendly, knowledgeable and was passionate about their job. If you are looking for a tour that will show you the hidden gems of Prague then look no further.
This tour gave us a wonderful experience of learning more about Prague and the Czech history. You’ll be stunned at the sights, city vibe and stories, you'll feel like visiting a Prague friend and walk away with a better understanding of the city and the country’s history. We highly recommend! It was a rainy night in Prague, so we had the streets virtually to ourselves. Our guide, Eva, was excellent. We had a hard time finding the meeting point, but she actually found us! Quite a bit of up and down, but we learned a lot about this beautiful city and its history. So glad we did the night tour, as these areas were packed the next day. Highly recommended!

The “Prague by Night City Tour” hosted by “Prague Local-Friends” was absolutely fantastic! Kevin, the proprietor of this easy to work with and highly professional company, did not have a group set-up for the time and date that I needed to have, in order to fit it into my schedule and because this tour was so highly recommended and popular, I really wanted to squeeze it into my trip to Prague. As a result, he (Kevin) went out of his way to accommodate me and arranged to provide it, even in the event that I could be the only one on the tour. To my great fortune, I was!! Now…Eva! I was extremely lucky to meet Eva and have her as my own personal tour guide! Score! Eva was absolutely fantastic! So knowledgeable about all things Prague and an Architectural Historian (Masters/PhD) as well! She was so attentive and wanted to share her extensive knowledge of her beloved city with me! As an avid hiker and not shy of walking (or energy), Eva took this “old man” from one end of her city to the next, always pausing or checking to see if I was comfortable, or if she was providing enough or too much information. I felt like I was given a tour based upon the “Goldilocks” principle! Everything was “just right!” I want to express a HUGE Thank You to my wonderful guide Eva and to Kevin for putting it all together and making it happen for me! Wonderful evening with a very lovely and knowledgeable guide who shared the history and heart of the Czech people. She answered all of our questions. And she walked at our pace even allowing us small breaks to sit and rest during the tour.
