Begin je reis met de beste introductie tot Amsterdam tijdens een 2,5 uur durende wandeltocht door het historische stadscentrum. Onder leiding van een Expert Engels of Spaans sprekende Gids (Nederlands op aanvraag) verken je de iconische bezienswaardigheden van de stad terwijl je fascinerende verhalen hoort over de groei van een modderig dorp aan de Amstel tot een van de belangrijkste handelssteden van Europa. Ontdek de contrasten van Amsterdam, van de geschiedenis van prostitutie en drugsdecriminalisering tot het culturele, artistieke en architectonische erfgoed. Aan het einde van de tour geniet u van een typisch Nederlands pannenkoekenmenu in een gezellig restaurant in het centrum, inclusief een voorgerecht van erwtensoep of Nederlandse delicatessen, een pannenkoekenhoofdgerecht en dessert of koffie. We streven er altijd naar om de proeverij om 13:30 uur te plannen, maar in sommige gevallen kan het later plaatsvinden. Verken Amsterdam daarna in je eigen tempo, bezoek musea, cafés of charmante straatjes.

Beursplein, het plein waar we onze tour zullen beginnen, zo genoemd omdat het naast de beurs ligt. Onze gids wacht op je voor de Cafe Bistro, naast de stierfiguur, met een blauwe paraplu of een tag met het Amsterdam Guides & Tours logo.
Amsterdam Centraal is ontworpen door de Nederlandse architect Pierre Cuypers en geopend in 1889. Het is het grootste treinstation van Amsterdam en het belangrijkste treinstation.

De nieuwe markt en de San Antón-poort, vlak bij de Chinese wijk
Jodenbuurt, een must als je de stad bezoekt, vol geschiedenis en cultuur die je niet mag missen.
We zullen het hebben over de Joodse wijk en de trieste geschiedenis van de Tweede Wereldoorlog
Het Muntplein is een van de bekendste pleinen van de stad en erg populair dankzij de bloemenmarkt die er gevestigd is.
Op het Spuiplein bezoeken we de Begijnhoftuinen en praten we over de Bloemenmarkt of De Krijtberg Kerk
We bezoeken het hart van Amsterdam op de Dam, waar u het Koninklijk Paleis, de Niuewekerk of het Nationaal Monument ziet

Walking tour or central Amsterdam- amazing first day with an incredible guide-Pia. We were given a voucher for a Dutch pancake which also included a cup of delicious pea soup with bacon and a roll with butter. Plus ice cream. Pia was so knowledgeable and friendly. A great first day here!

Great walking tour with Jacob- lots of information and history about Amsterdam! And Pancake breakfast was delicious.
I’ve been on a lot of walking tours in many cities around the globe. Most include a lot of history and details on what we’re seeing. We walked by a lot of things without explanation. This tour could have been so much better if the guide had done that vs talking about the cost of rent, his house buying experience, etc. I like to learn a lot on tours like this and I think a self guided tour I download would have been better.

The guide, Anthony, was great and gave us many interesting facts and showed us several interesting places. Dutch Pancake Masters was excellent. My only negative comment is that we were there on a very crowded Saturday (the day before Easter Sunday), and it was challenging to keep up with Anthony because of the crowds (and I’m a good walker). He did not check to make sure everyone was keeping up.

Did not receive items as promised on ticket. Waiter was less than friendly when I presented my ticket. He made uncomfortable. Would not go back to that establishment

Rob was an amazing guide with his depth of knowledge and his cadence integrating all of the information into a wonderful experience. It was a true introduction to Amsterdam and its history. I had been to Amsterdam before, but now I feel I have a better understanding of it as well as the Dutch people. We also had the pancake lunch. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. I had the best tomato soup I had ever tasted served with pesto. I highly recommend this tour.
