- Bezoeken in het Dogenpaleis hebben een typische duur van 1 tot 1,5 uur, afhankelijk van de tijd die wordt besteed aan het verkennen van de verschillende zalen en tentoonstellingen.
- De tour loopt zelfs bij lichte regen. Houd er rekening mee dat tijdens bepaalde tijden van het jaar hoogwater kan optreden. In dat geval worden verhoogde loopbruggen opgezet om toegang te verlenen en kunnen wegwerpschoenhoezen voor de ingang worden gekocht.
- Let op: om de audio Gids te gebruiken, moet je een smartphone en koptelefoon hebben.
- De vergadertijd kan veranderen; als dit gebeurt, ontvangt u een telefoontje of bericht van de aanbieder van de activiteit. Geef uw juiste telefoonnummer en landcode op.
- Als je de audioguide optie selecteert, download dan vooraf de app naar je telefoon via Wi-Fi, want deze wordt offline gebruikt tijdens het bezoek.
- Tijdens het zomerseizoen kunt u maximaal twee uur van het treinstation naar het San Marcoplein reizen, omdat er veel vraag is naar watertaxi's en vertragingen vaak optreden als gevolg van grote drukte.
- Kleedt u zich gepast voor een plaats van aanbidding : schouders en knieën moeten bedekt zijn.

Well-organized tour, very knowledgeable guide, and very courteous staff
Nothing funny about this Viator Trip! I absolutely definitely will be asking for my money back, and maybe and I mean maybe I will give Viator another try in the future since this was an absolute joke. The communication has said, the person will be wearing yellow shirt! Blue shirt, and 2 guys were no help with downloading the app to listen to the whatever you were going to hear about the Palace! They just dumped you at the door and Wam Bam Thank you man theyr gone no t responsible for anything. I am definitely going to ask for my money back either by Viator or my credits card company. Very unprofessional unhelpful and wasted our time.
Our tour guide was very informative and everything was organized very well with timing of the gondola ride!

The meeting place is a hassle to find with the number of people in the area. In very very small print, there was another tour company noted at the very bottom of the ticket info forwarded from Viator. The name of this company was never mentioned to us prior. When we checked with a tour guide with a blue flag as instructed, she informed us we were not on her tour. She sent us around the corner to find our tour. We shortly after discovered that we were on her tour. She sends me a picture and says this is where we are. We are not familiar with Venice! She was already in Doges Palace and we could not join the tour. We met up with the tour guide later and told her that we should have been on her tour. She did not apologize ( she was terrible!) but handed us our tickets and said we could still go on the tour (unguided!). The reason we purchased these tickets was for a guided tour!! I would really hesitate to book with Viator again. Don’t think I will.
We tried to get tickets for the Doge Palace in Venice which advertised no lines or waiting. Paid for tickets for 4 people and took directions as to where to meet via Viator directions and Apple and Google maps put us in a line where we waited over 45 minutes and could not get in! Viator sent me tickets in What’s App which I don’t use. Total bs and won’t refund me my $327.12. Bad customer service.
The Doge Palace was interesting, but the audio guide I paid for never downloaded- it got stuck and just stopped. It did download on my husband’s, but it was glitchy. We just stopped using it after a time.
Not good experience as operator cancelled tour 5min before start with no explanation, and didn't use whatapp but emailed which I only saw by chance. Hope this was an unfortunate one off
