Dit gebouw was een tweedehands kledingmarkt uit 1863. Het belichaamt een beetje de geschiedenis van Le Marais, toen het van een arme buurt naar een trendy buurt ging. Nu wordt het gebruikt als tentoonstellingsruimte.
Dit is de oudste voedselmarkt van Parijs. Het is opgenomen in zoveel culinaire tours, documentaires en boeken. Parijzenaars komen hier graag in het weekend, we zullen samen zien waarom.
La rue des Rosiers is het hart van de joodse wijk van Parijs. Er is al sinds de middeleeuwen een joodse gemeenschap in Parijs, en naar deze straat komen is een geweldige manier om de joodse cultuur te ontdekken.
Een koninklijk plein dat dateert uit 1612. Echt het symbool van Le Marais. Victor Hugo woonde vroeger op dat plein. We zullen zien waarom het iconisch is en hoe mooi het is.

My husband and I had the privilege of having Hugo as our walking tour guide through Le Marais. He is exceptionally knowledgeable about the area as well as the history of Paris and France in general. We had a wonderful, informative,fun walking tour in the Marais area with Clara Even though it was pouring rain the day we walked with Clara, she made it so interesting. Lou walked me around the fascinating Marais district and gave me a really great understanding of the development of the area over the centuries. She told me about the political, cultural, social, environmental & architectural/structural changes in the area and greater Paris. All the while walking through beautiful backstreets that I would not have discovered on my own. She has a very deep understanding of the area and the tour was exactly what I was hoping for.
