Bekijk de 5 belangrijke delen van de stad op een unieke manier, je wordt langs historische monumenten geleid en leert meer over de Franse cultuur, een lappendeken van lokale gemeenschappen en gebruiken, de kunst, het voortreffelijke eten en de mode. Onze wandeling begint in het Quartier Latin en eindigt in de Marais, het oude moerasgebied. Natuurlijk kunnen we ook proeven van de traditionele Franse delicatessenzaken. Duurt meestal 3,5 uur, vermijd het drukke verkeer en wees veilig. Saint-Germain-des-Pres staat bekend om de literaire en artistieke beroemdheden die er woonden en werkten. Een charmante wijk, met de kerk van Saint-Sulpice gebouwd in de 17e eeuw, met fundamenten uit de 12e eeuw. Ile Saint-Louis en het Ile de la Cite in het hart van Parijs hebben enkele van de mooiste monumenten. De kathedraal Notre-Dame de Paris is er één van. Smalle geplaveide en elegante architectuur. We eindigen onze tour met een bezoek aan de wijk Marais met vele gemeenschappen, en de Place des Vosges.

Deze kerk is de op één na grootste kerk van Parijs. De fontein van de vier windrichtingen is indrukwekkend. Het ligt in een open ruimte en in een prachtig gebied van St. Germain des Pres, dicht bij de Luxemburgse tuinen.
Dit gebied is een van de meest charmante wijken van Parijs, met mooie winkels en literaire en artistieke beroemdheden die hier wonen en werken. Ontdek de geweldige musea in dit gebied. De meest interessante voedingswinkels en voedselmarkten.
De oudste nog bestaande brug, in 1577 verordende koning Henri dat er een nieuwe brug over de Seine moest worden gebouwd. Het project werd in 1599 hervat tijdens het bewind van Henri IV.
We lopen langs de rivier en rond het stadseiland, de bloemenmarkt en het stadseiland waar het fort van de Romeinse gouverneur stond. Tot de bezienswaardigheden behoren de kathedraal Notre-Dame de Paris en Sainte-Chapelle. Veel restaurants en ijsliefhebbers.
Le Marais staat vol met kleine geplaveide straatjes, vol met gezellige restaurants, trendy onafhankelijke modeboetieks, galerieën voor hedendaagse kunst en musea. Er is een Parijs van het Joodse leven met delicatessenwinkels, bagelwinkels en synagogen, en ook het Parijs van vandaag vol met interessante winkels en een zondagsbrunch.
Place des Vosges is een van de oudste pleinen van Parijs, en ook een van de mooiste. Er zijn veel kunstgalerijen langs de Place des Vosges. Het is een perfect symmetrisch plein dat wordt begrensd door 36 gebouwen. Het Victor Hugo Huis is een museum gewijd aan de Franse schrijver. De auteur van 'Les Miserables' woonde van 1832 tot 1848 op de tweede verdieping.

Neda was very nice. I love the walk we did and the sites we saw. I would have preferred a more in depth explanation of the history that occurred at the sites we saw. It was just pointed out and described as 16th century without much detail.

My tour is a walking tour designed to cover five areas in three hours. Given the limited time, it’s difficult to go into great detail about the history of each place while visiting them all.

There are people who guide you through a city, and there are people who quietly change the way you walk through it. Walking through Paris with Neda, the city seemed to speak softly again. Neda shared its cultural stories not as a guide, but as someone who had learned to listen to its silences.
