We beginnen onze reis in dit moderne hart van Chefchaouen. Reizigers zullen de prachtige cirkelvormige tuin, de architectuur in Andalusische stijl en de centrale fontein bewonderen. Het is de perfecte plek om kennis te maken met de unieke lay-out van de stad voordat je de oude Medina induikt.
De belangrijkste historische toegangspoort tot de oude Medina. Hier ziet u de indrukwekkende stenen boog en leert u over de defensieve geschiedenis van de stad. Het is het overgangspunt van de moderne stad naar de magische blauwe straten.
Een van de meest fotogenieke pleinen in Chefchaouen. Je ziet de beroemde sierlijke fontein en de omliggende blauwe gebouwen. Het is een rustigere, authentieke plek waar je het lokale dagritme kunt voelen.
Het levendige centrale plein van de Medina. U ziet de Grote Moskee met zijn unieke achthoekige minaret en de buitenkant van de historische Kasbah (fort). We bespreken hier de 15e-eeuwse oorsprong van de stad.
Een verfrissende natuurlijke bron waar het bergwater uit stroomt. Je ziet de lokale bevolking hier samenkomen en genieten van de koele sfeer. Het is een prachtig natuurlijk hoogtepunt met een prachtig uitzicht op het Rifgebergte.
We eindigen met een lichte wandeling van 30 minuten naar deze iconische witte moskee op de heuvel. Het biedt het absoluut beste panoramische uitzicht over de hele Blauwe Stad. Een perfecte plek voor de laatste foto's en om de zonsondergang te zien.

This was exactly the kind of experience I was hoping for in the blue pearl, Chefchaouen. Having a local guide with excellent English made it easy to ask questions, have meaningful conversations, and gain a deeper understanding of the city beyond what any guidebook could offer. What stood out most was his genuine passion for learning and sharing knowledge. Whether discussing history, architecture, religion, daily life, or local traditions, he provided thoughtful insights and welcomed every question with enthusiasm. It felt less like a tour and more like spending the day with a knowledgeable friend who truly loves his city. As we wandered through the medina, he pointed out details I would have completely missed on my own and helped bring centuries of history to life. His explanations added context and meaning to every neighborhood, market, and monument we visited. One of the most memorable parts of the experience was the invitation to share tea afterward. It was a wonderful opportunity to continue the conversation, learn more about Moroccan culture, and connect on a personal level. That simple gesture reflected the warmth and hospitality that Morocco is known for. If you're looking for an authentic, insightful, and friendly introduction to Morocco I highly recommend this tour. The night tour of Chefchaouen is truly enchanting: the blue city illuminated in the evening has a magical, peaceful, and authentic atmosphere. Charming alleys, stunning views, and Zoubs is an excellent local guide. A brief experience but absolutely worth doing!

What a delightful evening with Zoubs! Frank and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour through the gorgeous city of Chefchoen and hearing his descriptions of the extraordinary history of his community. If you are visiting Morocco, a tour with Mohammed is an absolute must. He is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel like an old friend from the moment you meet. What truly sets him apart, however, is his profound knowledge; his storytelling brings the history of Morocco and the winding, blue-washed streets of Chefchaouen to life in a way a guidebook simply can’t. We had an amazing experience in Chefchaouen thanks to our guide, Zubir. We traveled with our family, and from the very beginning he made us feel welcome—not just like tourists, but like friends. Zubir showed us the beauty of Chefchaouen and the nearby areas, explaining the traditions and culture in a way that was easy to understand and really interesting. He also gave us great recommendations for where to eat authentic local food and helped us with transportation and logistics throughout our stay. What really made a difference was his kindness and care. Even when he wasn’t with us, he stayed in touch, shared useful contacts, and made sure we were always okay.
