Geschiedenis en vooruitgang gaan hand in hand in de bruisende stad Dubai, en een van de beste manieren om dit te ervaren is door een wandeltocht te maken. Doe mee met deze privéwandeling en dompel jezelf onder in de straten om te zien waar deze stad om draait. Onze stop op de binnenplaats van Al Fahidi, waar u traditionele huizen kunt zien, smalle steegjes kunt verkennen en de innovatieve windtorens kunt bewonderen. Ga naar het Coffee Museum om meer te weten te komen over de geliefde drank en bezoek vervolgens het Dubai Museum om de geschiedenis van deze handelsstad in de woestijn te ontdekken. Reis naar Dubai Creek en de Dhow voor een prachtig uitzicht, en neem vervolgens een abra (traditionele boot) om naar de kant van Deira te varen. Hier kun je winkelen bij souks, zoals kruidensouk en goudsouk. Zorg voor een souvenir zodat je een stukje Dubai mee naar huis kunt nemen.

Je ontmoet je gids op het ontmoetingspunt bij metrostation Sharaf DG, uitgang 4, en begint je tour.
Onze volgende stop is AL FAHIDI De historische wijk Al Fahidi, algemeen bekend als Al Bastakiya, is een van de oudste erfgoedsites van Dubai. Het district herbergt herinneringen aan een tijdperk dat dateert van vóór de federatie van de emiraten - vóór de vereniging van de Emirati-stammen in 1971 en een tijd waarin de parelhandel in de regio floreerde. Het gebied was in de 19e eeuw een voormalig handelscentrum voor parel- en textielhandelaren en heeft een deel van zijn originaliteit behouden - met smalle doorgangen die slingeren tussen lage gebouwen.
Al seef is een bruisende bestemming, verspreid over 1,8 km, en geworteld in de cultuur en het erfgoed van Dubai, met een charmante sfeer die doorklinkt in het onderscheidende erfgoed en de hedendaagse gebieden.
Na het fahidi-district rijden we Abra (traditionele boottocht) naar de specerijensouk.
een van de oudste markt in de stad is de oude souk. dit is een markt met gebruikte producten uit het lokale dagelijkse leven. zonder de oude souk te bezoeken! onze wandeltocht zal niet voltooien.
De Deira Gold Souk is de grootste goudmarkt ter wereld. De markt heeft 18-karaats en 22-karaats gouden stukken, sieraden en ornamenten te koop. Er is alleen al in de souk ongeveer 10-15 ton goud. Zeer populair onder de toerist, we geven je genoeg tijd om de markt te bezoeken en je meer verbazingwekkende feiten te vertellen.
Bekijk de geschiedenis van Dubai in het volle zicht in het oude Dubai. Bastakiya, is een bewaard gebleven wijk met oude huizen die als de laatst overgebleven exemplaren uit Dubai's vervlogen dagen staan. We zullen hier 30 minuten doorbrengen om u te laten zien welke Arabische stam hier het eerst kwam, de eerste bedrijven van emaritis, hun levensproblemen, hun eten, cultuur, levensstijl en nog veel meer.

Our guide, Shahzad, was very knowledgeable and kind. He explained the culture and history with great detail. The tour was amazing. We loved old Dubai. We had a very competent guide who knew a lot about the history and origin of Dubai but also about the culture of the people, was very enlightening I must say. Have been to the markets in the old part of Dubai and crossed the creek with a boat.More than satisfied and can absolutely recommend it.
Well constructed tour taking in the older parts of Dubai giving an insight into how and why the futuristic City it now is has evolved. Our guide Abdullah found just the right balance between explaining the historic and cultural context and not overloading us with too many dates and names. Experiencing the traditional gold and spice souks was a perfect contrast to the malls & high rise buildings across town. Both the tour itself and our particular guide come highly recommended.
As a woman who came on the tour solo and by chance ended up being the only guest who booked that day, I didn’t feel comfortable throughout the experience due to my tour guide (Muhammad Mazher). Between his frequent touching of his crotch, leering at my body, and nose picking, I felt very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this tour to any other women travelling solo.

Me and my friend had the Honor to have Sagheer Hassan as our guide and it was nothing less than memorable and mind blowing.
