Het Serra dos Órgãos National Park werd opgericht in 1939. Gelegen in het bergachtige gebied van de staat Rio de Janeiro. Het Serra dos Órgãos Nationaal Park heeft een rijke variëteit aan flora en fauna en een overvloedige biodiversiteit. Op heldere dagen vanuit het park is het mogelijk om Rio de Janeiro en Tijuca National Park te zien. Het Parque Nacional da Serra dos Órgãos, of Serra dos Órgãos National Park, is een prachtig beschermd gebied in de staat Rio de Janeiro, Brazilië. Het beslaat meer dan 20.000 hectare en staat bekend om zijn adembenemende landschappen, diverse ecosystemen en uitdagende bergpaden. Het park dankt zijn naam aan de indrukwekkende rotsformaties die op gigantische orgels lijken, die in bepaalde gebieden te zien zijn. Deze formaties zijn een opvallend kenmerk van de ruige bergketen van het park, die deel uitmaakt van het grotere Serra do Mar-gebergte. In het park kunnen bezoekers een verscheidenheid aan natuurlijke attracties verkennen, waaronder diepe valleien, torenhoge bergtoppen, kristalheldere rivieren en dichte bossen. De diverse ecosystemen van het park ondersteunen een breed scala aan planten- en diersoorten, waarvan er vele endemisch zijn in de regio.
Onze eerste stop is een bezoek aan de watervallen in de lagere sector van het Serra dos Órgãos National Park voor een lekker bad! De Poço Verde (Groene poel) met groen water is een fascinerende natuurlijke eigenschap die de schoonheid van stromend water combineert met de opvallende tint van groen. Dit type zwembad wordt meestal gevormd aan de voet van een waterval, waar het water zich verzamelt en een serene en schilderachtige omgeving creëert. De groene kleur van het water in zo'n zwembad is vaak een gevolg van natuurlijke processen of omgevingsfactoren. Het kan worden veroorzaakt door de aanwezigheid van mineralen, algen of vegetatie in het water, waardoor het een uniek en betoverend uiterlijk krijgt.

Als je aan het pad begint, word je ondergedompeld in het weelderige Atlantische Woud, met zijn diverse flora en fauna om je heen. Het pad stijgt geleidelijk, voert je door dichte begroeiing en opent zich af en toe voor adembenemende vergezichten. Vanaf de top van Trilha Cartão Postal (de ansichtkaartroute) kun je de majestueuze Dedo de Deus-piek (Vinger van God) bewonderen, een beroemde rotsformatie die lijkt op een hand die naar de hemel wijst. Dit iconische monument is een van de belangrijkste attracties van het Serra dos Órgãos National Park en dient als een symbool van Teresópolis.

Beautiful experience accompanied by Sylvio a super nice guide and who knows his job well, and the environment concerned by the visit. Pleasant car conversation on various societal and other topics. A nice hike not difficult with great views. And at the end, a swim in a beautiful waterfall reached by a small path. Fresh water, but we're not in the mountains and it feels good. What a fantastic trip.. our guide Gigo was amazing! So much fun... He really went out of his way to make it a fun day! Waterfalls and mountain top views .. We did sea kayaking with Alex and his was great too.. both really worth the $$ The communication was great.. really help me plan my excursions... With limited time.

I went hiking in the Serra Dos Órgãos National Park and had a really great time! The scenery there is fantastic and the hiking on the trails in the park involves all of the senses, the sounds, fresh smell of the forest, feeling the mist in the forest-a really great time. I was guided by Thalles who is very knowledgeable of the park and area and a very cool guy to talk with in general. We went to two waterfalls also that were very nice and we swam in the crystal clear pool of one of them. A really peaceful and scenic place. I highly recommend this hike if you love nature as I do.

The hiking adventure in Serra dos Orgaos National park is both a very scenic and fun experience. The beauty of the forest and the sounds and smell of the forest is so refreshing. The scenery of the mountains ridges there are really something to see and you can view them from several good viewpoints along the hike. We also visited two waterfalls and swam in one of the pools in front of one of them. The water was great and the pools of water were crystal clear. Thalles, who guided me, speaks perfect English and explained a lot about the forest and many other things about life in Brazil in general, plus he is a very interesting and cool person to talk with. This was both a great hiking and great learning experience and I highly recommend it for people who love hiking in nature! 👍

An incredible walk, the best secret in the state of Rio de Janeiro. a day to immerse yourself in the nature of the Atlantic Forest. For me, one of the most beautiful natural monuments I have ever seen. The 5 km trail of moderate difficulty, guided by Paulo's professionalism and kindness, takes you to three viewpoints that allow you to appreciate the majesty of the hills that make up the Organ Mountains. To finish the walk, a pleasant swim in the warm waters of the blue well.
