Ruil Parijs in voor een treinrit van 40 minuten naar het Vexin-reservaat. Wandel in een kleine groep (6 - 7 max) 6 mijl door Auvers-sur-Oise om de geboorte van het impressionisme en het leven van Vincent van Gogh te verkennen. Ontdek onder leiding van een Pro wat Vincent uniek maakte : terwijl vroege impressionisten extern licht najaagden, schilderde Van Gogh rauwe, interne emotie met felle kleuren en dikke streken. We zullen in zijn voetsporen treden langs de Oise rivier en de uitgestrekte korenvelden, ons onderdompelen in het aangrijpende dorp waar hij de laatste, hyperproductieve 70 dagen van zijn leven doorbracht, meer dan 70 meesterwerken creëerde en stierf. Keer terug met een diepgaand beeld van zijn tragische genie. LET OP : Om een leuke en bevredigende ervaring voor iedereen te garanderen, is de route ontworpen voor gasten die comfortabel 10 km (6 mijl) kunnen lopen in een gematigd tempo. Hierdoor kunnen we het landschap volledig waarderen, samen genieten van de ervaring en het tourschema bijhouden.

Vanuit dit stadje beginnen we onze wandeling langs de rivier de Oise richting het dorpje Auvers sur Oise
Op weg naar het dorp Auvers sur Oise nemen we een lunchpauze in de jardin à la francaise van het kasteel. Het museum is niet bij de reis inbegrepen.
Dit is het dorp waar Vincent van Gogh de laatste 70 dagen van zijn leven doorbracht. Ik zal je door het dorp leiden en je enkele van de locaties laten zien waar hij enkele van zijn schilderijen heeft gemaakt. Je krijgt ook het huis te zien waar hij verbleef en stierf.
Dit is de kerk van een van de beroemdste schilderijen die Van Gogh heeft gemaakt en die je kunt zien in het Musée d'Orsay in Parijs.

I had a great day. Victor had great communication before the tour and then made me learn a lot about impressionism and Van Gogh as well as some great talks about life in general. Recommended.
Victor was really amazing! I learned a lot from him; the half day hike was never boring as he had a lot of knowledge to share. The trail was really beautiful and it was really great to see history with your own eyes and from Van Gogh’s perspective!
Truly a highlight of our Paris, wonderful hike and Victor was so knowledgeable and a delightful, funny host. Auvers is such a beautiful little town, and the history of Van Gogh and Impressionism is incredible. If you want to get out of the city in under an hour and experience the most beautiful countryside and village life, book this amazing tour!

This was one of the most memorable and unique experiences of my stay in Paris, thanks to Victor’s incredible enthusiasm, knowledge, and coordination! You can expect some wonderful storytelling, beautiful views of the countryside, and a sense of really appreciating Vincent Van Gogh’s life and the many important characters in it. Victor makes the logistics easy, and the many discoveries delightful. The small group made the experience lovely as well. Impressionism & hiking fans alike will absolutely adore this trip!
It was very informal and gave me a good idea of Van Gogh's life. Our guide Victor was very pleasant and had a great time on the tour. One thing I want to say is that we in our 70s want people to slow down a bit more. But if you are interested in Van Gogh, this tour is for you!
We had previously reviewed this experience and just now noticed that we gave the tour 4 stars by mistake. This is definitely a 5 star tour and one of the favorite (of many) tours we have taken. Just book it!
What a beautiful and enriching experience! The views during the walk were just sublime. Victor is really kind and I loved the way he conducted the tour. It was incredibly fun and engaging throughout, and I learned so many new things!
