Ervaar de ongelooflijke bultruggen in IJslands langste fjord, Eyjafjörður, aan boord van onze speciaal aangepaste sightseeingboot. Dit is een gezinsvriendelijke en goedkope walvisspotten tour, het hele jaar door uitgevoerd vanuit Akureyri, Noord-IJsland. Elding Whale Watching Akureyri is een milieuvriendelijk bedrijf en wereldwijd erkend voor zijn milieu-inspanningen. Onze missie en doel is om de operationele impact op het milieu te minimaliseren en tegelijkertijd een onvergetelijke ervaring op zee te bieden. We houden ons aan een gedragscode voor verantwoord walvissen spotten, waardoor het welzijn van de wilde dieren in onze wateren wordt gewaarborgd.

- Houd er rekening mee dat het weer in IJsland onvoorspelbaar is en dat de tour op korte termijn kan worden geannuleerd vanwege ongunstige omstandigheden op zee.
- Dit is een wildlife tour en daarom kunnen waarnemingen niet worden gegarandeerd. In geval van geen waarnemingen, bieden wij de mogelijkheid om het opnieuw te proberen gratis in Reykjavík of Akureyri..
- We houden ons aan een gedragscode voor verantwoord walvissen spotten, wat betekent dat alle waarnemingen plaatsvinden onder de voorwaarden van de dieren in het wild. We kunnen daarom nooit ontmoetingen van dichtbij garanderen.
- Houd er rekening mee dat onze vloot niet volledig rolstoeltoegankelijk is, aangezien er steile trappen zijn tussen de onderste en bovenste dekken en hoge drempels om van de dekken naar de salon te gaan, evenals van de salon naar de toiletten.
- Rolstoelgebruikers zijn van harte welkom om een opvouwbare stoel mee te nemen aan boord van onze grotere boten, maar neem indien mogelijk ruim van tevoren contact met ons op, omdat we mogelijk moeten helpen met het instappen.

Lovely trip, guides and experience. The staff were so knowledgeable and informative, lots of positive information and about the sightings. The marine life was amazing to see and I loved every moment
Took this trip on August 11th. Even though the weather was beautiful- It was a cold boat ride. Don’t be fooled-dress warm!! It was a different trip than Alaska for comparison, but we saw whales.
It was a very special experience. Everything was well organised, and the guide was knowlegeable and enthusiastic. We found a group of three humpback whales feeding. They kept going down into the deep to feed and then coming back up for a while. The ship followed them around for some. It was difficult to know where exactly they would come back up. By following them a few times they managed to once get very close. There was lots of oooh-ing and aaaah-ing of the crowed when they showed their arched backs (a bit like dolphins, just not fully airbound) right next to the ship, and later their tailfins when they dived back down, one after the other. The tour was a bit over 3 hours long, I think even 3 1/2 hours. After the tour, we all got a link to photographs taken by the crew. So if you prefer just to watch without looking through the phone/camera all the time, you can do so. Or if you just didn't catch them in the right moment, you'll get some beautiful pictures anyway.
Very informative and experienced guides, learned a lot, saw some whales, and enjoyed the opportunity to be inside in the heat or outside on the decks at will.

Have done whale watches before but this was by far the best. Saw orcas and humpbacks The humpbacks were amazing and breached repeatedly, including one time just a few feet from our small boat splashing us in sheets of water. Fortunately we were wearing jumpsuits provided by the tour. The small boat is clearly the way to go
