Beschrijving
Een aangename wandeling tussen de IJslandse geschiedenis, straatkunst, folklore en kleurrijke woningen; De tour is niet geschikt voor mensen met loopproblemen en/of moeite met lopen. Ideaal voor kleine groepen - max. 10 personen. We bezoeken de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden van de stad, zoals het parlementsgebouw, de Hallgrimskirkja-kerk, de vijver en andere pittoreske locaties, minder bekend bij toeristen..... en natuurlijk zullen we de kleurrijke kunstwerken niet missen die verborgen liggen rond Reykjavik, een van de street art hoofdsteden van de wereld. LET OP : De tour is ongeveer 3 km lang en heeft een duur van 2u 30min - 3 uur. Het laatste deel van de tour is bergop en er zijn weinig treden/trappen te nemen tijdens de tour. De wandeltour is alleen in het Engels, we bieden de tour niet in andere talen aan

We lopen de hoofdstraat van Reykjavik in en uit en verkennen enkele kleurrijke, verborgen straatkunst waar de stad bekend om staat.
Bewonder het Nationaal Theater en zijn architectuur
neem een kijkje in het parlementsgebouw en andere interessante gebouwen en hun bezienswaardigheden
Een snel bezoek aan een van de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden van Reykjavik
bezoek de interessante beeldentuin van het museum van Einar Jonsson
Bezoek de oever van het meer en geniet van een prachtig panorama van de stad

This was an excellent tour for gaining an understanding of the history of Reykjavik. Luca was an exceptional guide. He was very knowledgeable, personable, and entertaining. We learned a lot of history and saw areas we never would have discovered on our own. Luca also shared restaurant and activity recommendations, and he a fabulous job of making the entire tour very enjoyable for everyone. I would highly recommend Luca’s tour of Reykjavik.

The tour was great. Luca was our tour guide and he was a triple threat -- informative, funny and entertaining. He was always ready to answer any question. And his enthusiasm for his subject matter was infectious. I learned so much about the history of the city, the sagas and the Icelandic culture. The tour could not have been better. I had the best dinner of my life at the Seafood Grill on his recommendation. OMG!! As an added highlight of the tour we met Volvo ... he is such a star.

We loved this excursion. Luca was a great guide. He is so knowledgeable. Seeing the different styles of architecture, and learning the history of the buildings (and of Iceland and Reykjavik) was very interesting. It was cool to taste the local food & drink. I feel like I knew how to get around the city on our own after the tour.

Great insight into the history of Iceland. Luca was a great guide and knowledgeable of the city. He pointed out buildings and was able to let us know their background and historical significance. Gave us recommendations for restaurants in the area and his favorite museums to visit. Another wonderful tour by Viator.
