Ontdek het hart van Arequipa tijdens deze meeslepende wandeltocht. We beginnen bij de levendige San Camilo Market, een kleurrijk centrum van het dagelijks leven gevuld met lokale producten, smaken en tradities. Wandel vervolgens door charmante straatjes richting het centrale plein, waar uw gids de rijke geschiedenis van een van Peru's mooiste pleinen zal delen. Bezoek de sierlijke kerk en het klooster van La Compañía de Jesús, de thuisbasis van de prachtige Saint Ignacio Cupola, een meesterwerk van koloniale kunst. Ga verder naar een 17e-eeuwse tambo, een traditioneel gemeenschappelijk wooncomplex dat het koloniale verleden van de stad onthult. Verken ten slotte het adembenemende Santa Catalina-klooster, een stad in de stad met meer dan 300 jaar fascinerende geschiedenis. Uw gids helpt u bij uw intocht voordat hij afscheid neemt.

Onze tour begint met een bezoek aan de populaire markt van San Camilo; uitgeroepen tot historisch erfgoed in 1987 en waar u vele producten kunt vinden, zoals boodschappen, bloemen, kleding en andere kwaliteitsartikelen tegen lage kosten. Dit is een plek vol kleur, activiteit, verscheidenheid aan smaken, die een beetje het dagelijks leven van onze stad laten zien.
Daarna wandelen we verder richting het stadscentrum (Main Plaza) en verkennen we de straten van het stadscentrum en komen we aan bij Arequipa's Main Square, waar je gids je een historische introductie geeft van een van de mooiste Peruaanse hoofdpleinen.
We vervolgen onze tour, waarbij we de kerk en het klooster van La Compañía de Jesús bezoeken, dit klooster en deze kerk zijn één hele eenheid, met semi-bogen van zware pilasters volledig versierd aan alle vier zijden. Elke zijde vertoont identieke reliëfs, van drie dikke trossen druiven, papaja's, schelpen, cantates, rozen, druiven enz. In de kerk bezoeken we de beroemde Cupola van Saint Ignacio; een kapel zo mooi dat het een voorbeeld is van koloniale Arequipeaanse kunst.
We lopen naar het klooster van Santa Catalina; monument dat behoort tot de belangrijkste attracties van Arequipa stad, met achter hun winkelcentra meer dan drie eeuwen geschiedenis.

Had an amazing time with Giardino Tours. We had a fabulous time with our guide Brian. He was punctual and extremely knowledgeable about Arequipa. The expertise and enthusiasm that he conveyed as we went through the monastery was infectious and it was an incredible experience. The city walk in Arequipa was very beautiful and culture. We've been through several buildings. Our guide Stephanie really tried, she talked about the different architecture and also the history. She's one of the best. We enjoyed very much and feel like all the city
