Heksen, kooplieden, psychopathische bisschoppen en waarom ze taxusbomen kweken op kerkhoven! We verwelkomen kinderen op de tour, maar de verhalen gaan over heksen, politieke skulduggery, Ierse geschiedenis en moord. Daarom spreekt het meer voor volwassenen dan voor kleine kinderen. Tudor koopmanshuis, volledig gerestaureerd.
800 jaar oude kathedraal, met beklimbare ronde toren. Een van de slechts twee torens die je in Ierland kunt beklimmen.

Luister naar de verhalen van struikrovers en rebellen. Eeuwenlang de gevangenis en executieplaats in Kilkenny. Geketend en op weg naar transport of executie, ze zijn hier allemaal doorgekomen.
Eindig op het kerkhof waar de groten en machtigen zijn begraven. Soldaten, kromme politici en vrome - rust zij aan zij. St Mary's kerk is nu het Medieval Mile Museum ... toegang niet inbegrepen, maar sterk aanbevolen.

Pat was very informative, we learned so much about the history of Kilkenny. We were dead tired from our overnight flight in, but Pat kept us moving and gave us a great perspective! Also, he’s pretty well known about town- it’s clear he’s a well liked guy!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience walking the Medieval Mile with Pat. He was incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable, telling the story of Kilkenny's rise through the years with great detail and funny delivery. This tour is a MUST when visiting Kilkenny and was the highlight of our stay!
Extraordinary, fun and interesting time. Pat is a consummate showman and historian who puts you in the shoes of Kilkenny townspeople of old with colorful enthralling stories and illustrations. You will learn about the town, the people, the politics, Ireland’s role on the world stage through a most entertaining dialog while seeing the incredible one-of-a-kind sites of Kilkenny, some of which would be easily passed by if not for his pointing them out.
Pat is extremely knowledgeable. He is also amazing at telling stories. He really makes history come to life. He was also extremely patient. We are a family ranging from 9 to almost 90 years old. He was very accommodating to all age ranges. We really appreciated and enjoyed the walk and would highly recommend him!
Had a wonderful afternoon listening to Pat tell us all the medieval “gossip” about the merchant families living in Kilkenny. Pat has an excellent story telling style that brings the history to life. Absolutely a must for anyone interested in history and a great story.
Our family of 6 (2 adolescents, 2 adults, and 2 grandparents) ended up being the only ones on the tour, so it was like a private tour. Pat is an engaging storyteller who masterfully brings you back through medieval lore and drama, better than any soap opera I’ve watched. Our kids said it was the highlight of their trip so far and we all walked away with new appreciation for Kilkenny. Excellent value and highly recommend if you have a couple hours of spare.
Great bit of history told by stories with a theatrical flair. Pat was very interesting and told the tale of the town with personal touches. We very much enjoyed our tour.

Great comedic timing, a depth of knowledge that was appreciated by all, and he has an obvious passion for Kilkenny's history. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
What a great way to give a tour. Pat truly gives a theatrical storyline to this historic town. . From ages 6 to 80, everyone will enjoy!
Patrick was simply sensational. Our walking tour ended up being just me, my son and Patrick, but he didn’t skimp on anything and kept up his energy and performance for the whole time. He even went a little overtime without any concern. Worth every cent.
