I got PADI Certified in 2002 for Shark Suit Diver and My son who is 19 and got dive certified last year wanted to do the Shark Feeder Certification. Everyone at Stuart Cove is nice, but not always very helpful. The actual dives with the sharks were fantastic. But the PADI Cert and Pictures were not. We both got credit for Shark Awareness, which was kind of nothing, since I just dove and hung out with my son during the talking points and there is no certification for Shark Feeding, because there is no certification for shark feeding. I paid a lot for the certification, gave$100 tip to the photographer for the shark dives. He said we would get pictures and videos in 2-3 days. 2 weeks later, no pictures or videos. I have emailed the fin photo twice, no response. When I did my shark suit cert 24 years ago, I left with pictures and videos and was certified. Sad that such a special time, where the dive master is talking about how to stand/swim to get best shots, is never going to be shared. Very disappointed.
Waited over 3 hours to board our boat to go snorkeling. The weather was getting rough and we were told that they got a late start that morning as well. We ran out of time to be back on the cruise on time. So they cancelled the entire trip and drove us back to our cruise. Even though it felt disorganized and we had to keep asking questions. The staff was friendly and offered a refund. The drivers and frost desk ladies did their best and apologized. We will try again in a few years
This experience was amazing. The people are super friendly and provide a great time and atmosphere. They are very easy to listen to and fun to be around. They are knowledgeable and very helpful with anything you need help with. Would recommend to everyone, you don’t have to be a pro to go and you don’t have to have experience to enjoy it. The only thing is they don’t provide any food so bring your own.
My husband, my friend and I I did the snorkeling (second time) and my son did the shark dive. Everyone had a blast. On the snorkel boat, our crew was the best!!! Synaee, Shay, Nelson and Kareem (I think) were the nicest, most helpful crew ever. Will always hit up Stuart Cove’s when in Nassau. Thank you!!!!
Was not really what I expected.
We had overall good experience. Saw lots of different fish! Went to 3 different sites, which was nice, one of which was an observation of the sharks. I didn't like that we were not on a protected reef; we were snorkeling in open water with large waves. Another downside was 45+ min ride from port and boat ride 30+min to the snorkel sites. About 5 hours tour total. Was very convenient and easy pick up/drop off at cruise port.
We just did our second shark adventure with Stuart Cove’s and it gets better each time. Last time, my husband, son and I snorkeled. This time, my son had his PADI open water diver certification so he dove down and was blown away by the experience. My husband and I snorkeled again with Synaee, Shay, Nelson and Kareem and they have to be the nicest and funniest crew out there. Cannot recommend this company highly enough.
This was hands down one of the best excursions of our trip! From start to finish, the crew made the entire experience seamless, fun, and unforgettable. Shae and Pilar were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt comfortable in the water, while Captain Garth kept everything running smoothly and safely. We visited two amazing snorkeling spots filled with vibrant fish and crystal-clear water, and the shark viewing area was an absolute highlight—such a unique and thrilling experience! The entire tour was well-organized, relaxed, and perfect for all experience levels. If you’re stopping in Nassau and want an unforgettable ocean adventure, this is the one to book!
This snorkel experience made my week perfect! Beautiful school of blue tang and many others up close The highlight was the shark encounter! Shae was wonderful in preparing us to swim with these beautiful creatures and joining us in the water, an event I will never forget! The staff were all friendly and helpful!! I will definitely book another event with Stuart Cove’s!! They are a class act!!
Frankly, this was a very bad experience. The driver loved Vernon, was amazing… He was timely, expert, fun, engaging… He needs to run the whole company. He was the only bright spot. I believe the shops administration needs to be aware that the team on the dive boat was just not interested. When not driving the Captain was playing on his iPad at volume. Everyone else was messing with their phones the whole time. Even with head phones on! This should not be allowed on a dive boat. Especially when people are paying money and there needs to be a great vigilance on instructions and safety. They were just not interested in the people on board. Also, I’ve never been on a boat where there is nothing provided to eat or drink. It’s not an expensive endeavor to bring sodas and snacks. There was just a cooler with paper cones for getting water. When there were people with seasickness, they weren’t even offered a ginger ale or anything like that. As a seasoned traveler and very experienced diver, it was just really bad service and a bad environment. Put down the phones. Make conversation. Engage. At least act interested.
