Well enjoyed the trip, it was great experience. Hassle free booking and easy communication. Host was great
I booked Bob's Waitomo Caves private tour on a specific date through Viator -- the date was marked as available, it was confirmed and a hold was placed on my credit card. However the booking was never acknowledged by Bob and remained in limbo for 36+ hours before we gave up as we were leaving NZ a day after the intended visit. Multiple attempts were made to contact him. We ultimately had to abandon our Waitomo plans. As a tourist, it's so important to have some semblance of schedule security. It's a shame we placed our faith in Bob and Viator for what I'm sure would be an outstanding Waitomo experience. Bob, if you're not available don't let people book and then not follow through. It can ruin holidays.
Tour was cancelled due to road closure while recent Cyclone in New Zealand, client was informed and full refund was processed as per the policy, we don't have any control over Weather or Natural disaster.
Waitomo Caves is a wonderful place, we are glad we did tour with such a nice tour guide Bob, who showed us lot of places and also shared the New Zealand history with us.
