Beschrijving
Sluit je aan bij onze tour en verken de beroemdste tempels van het Angkor-complex tijdens een begeleide dagtour met een professionele gids. Bewonder de oude stad van het Khmer-rijk, lachende gezichten van de Bayon-tempel en de jungletempel van Ta Prohm, geniet van het lokale eten en wandel vervolgens de Phnom Bakheng-berg op om te genieten van de prachtige zonsondergang.

Je wordt tussen 08.00 en 08.30 uur opgehaald bij je hotel en gaat direct naar de Angkor-pas. Daarna gaan we naar een van de juwelen van Cambodja, het indrukwekkende Angkor Thom, de versterkte "Grote Koninklijke Stad", gebouwd in de 12e eeuw door koning Jayavarman VII. Bij de Zuidpoort kunnen we het imposante standbeeld van Avalokiteshvara zien, dat voorkomt in de Tomb Raider-film. Het volgende bezoek is de Bayon-tempel, in boeddhistische stijl en versierd met honderden gezichten gemaakt van steen, en verken ook het Terras van Olifanten, het voormalige Koninklijk Paleis, Phimeanakas, het Terras van Leprakoning en de Baphoun-tempel. Het wordt beschouwd als de grootste hindoetempel in Angkor Thom-stad.
Daarna rijden we naar de Ta Prohm-tempel, die in de oorspronkelijke staat is gelaten en gedeeltelijk begroeid is met bomen en enorme wortels. Het werd ook gebruikt als decor voor de film Tomb Raider met Angelina Jolie in de hoofdrol.
Geniet van uw lunch in een lokaal restaurant, bereid door de plaatselijke chef, tegenover Sras Srang, bekend als het koninklijke zwembad.
In de middag begint u met een bezoek aan het fascinerende Angkor Wat, het grootste heilige gebouw ter wereld en een icoon van de Khmer-beschaving. Het werd gebouwd door koning Suyavarman en is opgedragen aan de hindoegod Vishnu. Het bevat honderden versieringen die de muren bedekken en het langste bas-reliëf ter wereld. Het is omgeven door een gigantische gracht en de vijf torens maken deel uit van de Cambodjaanse vlag, en vanaf de top kun je de indrukwekkende en dichte jungle zien.
Beklim de berg van de Phnom Bakheng voor zonsondergang.
Breng je terug naar je hotel in het centrum van Siem Reap.

A great tour, highly recommend. Its a long day but you get to see the stunning angkor wat temple and others with this full day tour.great informative guide in Raman. Small mini van transported us between temples but really hot walking in morning and afternoon sun. Good transportation which we were really glad of as walking was kept to within the temples. A small group and only 5 in ours. Plenty of bottles of water provided and twice some lovely cold had towels. Lunch was really good - you only pay for drinks. We also stopped to see rice cakes (with coconut centre) being made and we had one (included) A walk up to the viewing point/temple for sunset. You don't have to walk up if you don't want to but we did and the sunset was lovely even though it had been a fairly cloudy late afternoon. Very hot so make sure you use and bring plenty of sunscreen and mosquito spray.

A fantastic tour of the Angkor Wat temples and surrounding area. Our guide Sam and his driver were very knowleagable of the history and details of this magnificent site. He speaks perfect English and is very patient and attentive to his guests. The tour went for 10 hours and was very interesting. We all loves Sam's humour. Thank you for a memorable day

Fully recommended tour. 2-days with Sotin was a real benefit. He guided us through the temples with a deep knowledge of the temple history and many explanations. A very flexible planning of our tour was a real benefit. If we visit Angkor again Sotin will be our must have guide!!!
