Deze tour is zoveel meer dan een proeverij! Een volledige dag om deze gevarieerde regio ten westen van Cairns te verkennen, ligt een plateau dat van 400 meter tot 1200 meter boven zeeniveau oprijst op de Great Dividing Range, de Atherton Tablelands. Het aanbieden van een volledig uitgebreide rondleiding waarbij u tien verschillende locaties op één dag bezoekt. Wij bieden een interactieve tour met dieren in het wild, natuur, geschiedenis, cultuur en eten. De ervaring en kennis van onze gids binnen de natte tropenregio levert interessante en fascinerende feiten op tijdens de tour. De rondleidingen zijn persoonlijk en intiem en versterken de ervaring van elke reiziger. Een bezoek aan een aantal nationale parken, lokale producten, een natuurpark en watervallen terwijl je door enkele van de meest schilderachtige natuurlijke landschappen in Far North Queensland reist. We reizen in een comfortabele moderne Toyota Hiace. Zorg ervoor dat u eventuele speciale vereisten op het gebied van mobiliteit en dieet specificeert, aangezien we altijd ons best zullen doen om al onze passagiers tegemoet te komen.

Je erkende gids neemt je mee op een schilderachtige tour door Kuranda, het schilderachtige dorpje gelegen tussen het regenwoud. Aangekomen bij Barron Gorge National Park stoppen we om te genieten van een wandeling door het regenwoud. Je gids zal de culturele geschiedenis, flora en fauna en dieren in het wild van dit gebied delen terwijl je door de tropische regenwoudwandeling loopt om vanaf beide platforms de spectaculaire Barron Falls te bekijken.
We verlaten het regenwoud en gaan naar de savanne. We rijden door de gemeente Mareeba en stoppen voor ochtendthee en eerste proeverijen bij Skybury Coffee and Papaya Plantation. Geniet van verse scones met papaya-jam en -room, Skybury-koffie en een selectie papaja- en limoenen. Mogelijkheid om via de winkel producten te kopen en een virtuele rondleiding op de plantage te bekijken.
Ga op pad naar Granite Gorge voor de kans op ontmoetingen met dieren in het wild, terwijl je ervaren gids je meeneemt op een korte trektocht voor de kans om zeldzame, onopgesmukte wallaby's tegen te komen die endemisch zijn voor Granite Gorge. Observeer en leer meer over deze schattige wallaby's in hun natuurlijke omgeving, bewonder de uitgestrekte landschappen met omringende uitzichten, de vele vogels en hagedissen tijdens deze fascinerende verkenning.
Aankomst bij Mt Uncle voor proeverijen van bekroonde premium sterke dranken en likeuren. Uw gastheer verwelkomt u en introduceert het assortiment likeuren en sterke dranken, waarbij u de keuze heeft uit 4 proeverijen. Leer de geschiedenis van de distilleerderij kennen, verken de aangelegde tuinen en bekijk enkele van hun boerderijdieren.
Als u verder gaat ten westen van de Tablelands, passeert u de rijke landbouwgronden, zal uw gids de geologie van de geschiedenis en kennis van deze prachtige regio delen. Aankomst in Gallos Dairyland, een van de laatste melkveebedrijven in Far North Queensland. We stoppen voor de lunch en genieten van proeverijen van gastronomische kazen en chocolaatjes die rechtstreeks van de boerderij zijn geproduceerd.
Tijdens een bezoek aan het Curtain Fig National Park zul je gefascineerd zijn door de geschiedenis van deze fascinerende Curtain Fig Tree. Naar schatting meer dan 500 jaar oud is er een verhoogde promenade die je rond de boom brengt om elke hoek te bekijken. Het heeft wortels die 15 meter diep in de bosbodem reiken. Het is een populair leefgebied voor veel vogels en wilde dieren.
We bezoeken het uitkijkplatform Bromfield Swamp, een historische plek waar troepen gestationeerd waren in de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Deze uitgestorven vulkanische krater is een nationaal belangrijk moerasland vanwege zijn paleomilieustudies naar vegetatie en klimaatveranderingen gedurende millennia en als overwinteringsplaats voor aantallen van de twee soorten kraanvogels in Australië.
Op weg naar Millaa Millaa Falls rijden we door het schilderachtige landschap van het land omringd door bergketens en weelderige groene weilanden en door de historische stad Malanda. U passeert de grootste houten pub van Queensland, het oudste operationele filmtheater, terwijl u de rijke geschiedenis en cultuur van deze stad leert kennen.
Als u deze prachtige waterval bekijkt, wilt u misschien genieten van een duik en een foto maken onder de watervallen. Een van de meest gefotografeerde watervallen van Australië vanwege het stromende water dat in een dompelbad valt, omgeven door weelderig regenwoud.
Een populair vulkanisch meer vanwege het frisse, heldere water om in te zwemmen, de weelderige regenwoudomgeving, de vogels en de wilde dieren. We stoppen hier voor een afternoon tea met de kans om te zwemmen of een wandeling langs de promenade te maken om vogels of dieren in het wild te spotten.
We stoppen bij Lake Barrine, het grootste vulkanische kratermeer in de omgeving. Het ligt ongeveer 730 meter boven zeeniveau en de diepte van het meer is 65 meter. Omringd door dicht regenwoud waar een scala aan vogels en dieren in het wild leven, lopen we een korte afstand langs de promenade om de tweelingstier Kauri Pines te bekijken. Genieten van de prachtige middagzon aan de overkant van het meer is de perfecte afsluiting van een perfecte dag!

Houd er rekening mee dat we rechtstreeks ophalen bij alle hotels, zorg ervoor dat u handmatig de naam van het hotel waar u verblijft in Cairns toevoegt. Wacht 10 minuten voor de geplande ophaaltijd in de lobby van de receptie.

Booking at least one tour with Simon and Renae is an absolute must when in Cairns, and that is an understatement of the exceptional experience we had. Simon was immediately accommodating for my partner and I based on our preferences, and incredibly knowledgeable of wildlife (dare I say how lucky we got with two platypus sightings!). His passion is evident and infectious, and he ensured we were comfortable throughout the day. We spent our 38th wedding anniversary on the tablelands tour. We had an amazing day. Went to stunning places and ate lots of beautiful food. Simon our tour guide was fun and knowledgeable. The Mareeba Rock wallabies we fed were very special. Great memories.

Everything about the day was excellent. The Day provided me with a wonderful understanding of the importance of the Atherton Tableland as a food bowl. And this was reinforced by the tasting experiences as a part of the day….Coffee at the Coffee Plantation, the excellent Pink Papaya for morning tea (as my substitute for glutinous scones), the fantastic Cheese Tasting at the Dairy and then an excellent gluten free sandwich, the spirit tasting at the Distillery and being able to discuss the produce and processes with the distiller, and then the yummy home cooked cake for afternoon tea. Taste of the Tablelands If you only have one day for the Tablelands do not go past this tour - combining rainforests, savannah, volcanic plains and lakes and food and coffee tastings. Simon and Renae are wonderful hosts full of hospitality and information. This tour was so full of variety and diversification is is difficult to find a highlight. What struck us was Simon's phenomenal knowledge of the landscape and environment and the welcome he received from all the venues we visited. This tour company is obviously held in very high reqard throughout the Cairns area. Tastings were well spaced, plenty of time allowed for each stop and lots humour and fun along the way. Granite Gorge was awesome, the opportunity to interact with the little Rock Wallabies without causing any distress or interference to them was amazing and the walk through the gorge itself was just awe inspiring. All in all one of the most enjoyable days we had in Cairns.

Simon and Carl of tropical tours definitely lived up to the company’s reputation. Our tour taste of the table lands was everything we could ask for. First I walk with a cane and found the van very easy to navigate. Simon and Carl were both very kind to make sure I could enjoy each stop. Next Simon is incredibly knowledgeable about the local geology, history and flora/fauna. He is happy to answer any questions. Not to be discounted is the wonderful food we enjoyed. Home baked cakes, wonderful coffee, spirits, cheese, chocolate and lunch were delicious. A special thank you to Skybury plantation who opened on a holiday and made us welcome. I highly recommend the coffee and the location is a beautiful setting. We had a wonderful day and learned so much. I cannot recommend this tour or company highly enough

We've done several tours with Tropic Tours now, and will always engage them when we're visiting Cairns in the future. Simon was our driver and tour guide, with Renae handling the admin and background for their small group tours. We've done Paronalla Park, A Taste of the Tablelands, Mossman Gorge & Daintree, & The Cassowary Coast, over two visits to Cairns. Simon keeps you entertained and informed the whole time, and all of the tours are very complex, and diverse. He has a vast array of knowledge on all the areas we visited, and managed to answer all the questions I had, including those that were completely off topic. We had a great experience with Tropic Tours, and the small group tour bus suited us down to the ground. We would highly recommend Tropic Tours for anyone wanting to do a small group tour.

This is an amazing Tour. Simon and JJ gave us the time of our life! With great sight seeing and some of the most beautiful places, coffee and coffee tasting, cheese tasting, a beautiful lunch at a dairy, CHOCOLATES and afternoon tea! We even visited a distillery for spirts and tasting local gins and rums. Does it get any better?? This was a small group tour with just 8 of us. It made it almost one on one and we gained a lot of knowledge of the area. If you have a day to spend relaxing, eating and taking photos of incredible venues, you have to take this tour.

This is a long day with fantastic food & spirits stops. This tour includes everything we expected and more. Simon & JJ are very knowledgeable, professional & entertaining. This is one of the best tour we have booked in a long time. We enjoyed all of the nature walks. The table lands has so much to offer. Totally different than Cairns. The diversity of the different parks and waterfalls are amazing. We would definitely book a tour with them again when we are back in Cairns. Everything was top quality. If you want to experience a terrific day this one is for you!
