Dit is een volledige dagtour. Op deze dag bezoekt u het gevangeniseiland waar u informatie kunt krijgen over het eiland en wat er zich in de gevangenis bevindt. Ook bezoek je Aldabra-reuzenschildpadden en pauwen, je hebt tijd om prachtige foto's en video's te maken ter herinnering. als het een geluksdag is, kun je een zeer zeldzame kleine antilope spotten. In Stone Town zul je echter getuige zijn van verschillende historische erfgoederen en attracties die zijn achtergelaten door Arabieren, Hindoes, Britten, Portugezen, Fransen enzovoort, zoals musea, deuren van Zanzibar en nog veel meer. Hier krijgt u de volledige geschiedenis van Zanzibar en de slavenhandel in Oost-Afrika. U krijgt echter wel de kans om te winkelen. Ten slotte bezoekt u de kruidenboerderij waar u vóór de tour kunt lunchen. Vervolgens ziet u de kruidenplanten met kruiden erop, en krijgt u kennis over hoe u ze kunt kweken, hoe u ze kunt gebruiken in voedsel en als kruidengeneesmiddelen. Je proeft het aromatische fruit en de kokosnoot van Zanzibar.

Vanaf deze site kunt u de volledige geschiedenis van de gevangenis en wat er op dit moment beschikbaar is als toeristische attractie, zoals de Aldabra reuzenschildpadden, pauwen en kleine antilopen, bekijken. U krijgt de tijd om prachtige foto's en video's te maken ter herinnering en keert dan terug naar Stone Town voor een historische stadswandeling.
Dit is een wandeltocht die je meeneemt door het legendarische Stone Town, waar de geschiedenis lijkt stil te staan. Met bezoeken aan onder meer het House of Wonders, de voormalige slavenmarkt voor Oost-Afrikaanse slavenhandel en het Arabische Fort is het een fascinerende kijk op de essentie van Zanzibar. De architectonische stijl van Stone Town-gebouwen is een unieke mix van verschillende invloeden en cultuur. Je ziet de bruisende markt van Zanzibar, kronkelende steegjes, sierlijk gebeeldhouwde en bezaaide deuren, twee kathedralen en talloze moskeeën! Stone Town heeft een aantal uitstekende cadeauwinkels met veel souvenirs en handwerk om uit te kiezen. Een begeleide wandeling door deze kleurrijke en afwisselende stad met deskundige gidsen, die niet alleen grappige dingen over Stone Town weten, maar ook wrede verhalen vertellen over het leven van vroeger in Stone Town. Stone Town Tour is een wandeltocht en duurt bijna 2 uur wandelen door de smalle straatjes.
Dit is onze begeleide wandeltocht door dorpen en kruidenplantages, een wandeling door de boerderijen terwijl werknemers van de kruidenplantages in bomen klimmen, specifieke planten zoeken en verschillende basten afsnijden, zodat u alles kunt zien, voelen en proeven. U wordt versierd met accessoires van palmbladeren zoals stropdassen, ringen, armbanden en brillen. Op de kruidenplantages krijgt u de gelegenheid om enkele exotische vruchten van Zanzibar te proeven. Na de tour nodigen we u uit voor een weelderige traditionele Swahili-lunch, geserveerd door de lokale bevolking. Hier krijgt u echt een voorproefje van de kruiden in het eten. Dit is echter de beste plek om verse kruiden rechtstreeks bij de bron te kopen en de lokale boeren te steunen. Het is aan te raden om contant geld mee te nemen voor degenen die de kruiden willen kopen. Ze accepteren USD, Euro's en de lokale valuta.

Mohammed was a fantastic guide throughout the day. He was friendly, welcoming and engaging, making sure we had a teaching and memorable experience. Everything was well organized, from picking up at the hotel to transportation between the sites and the exciting guided tours. Prison Island was fascinating with its history and impressive giant turtles, while Stone Town offered a deeper understanding of Zanzibar’s culture and architecture. The visit to Jambo Spice Farm was a real experience! The food was delicious, and the guide there made the trip both fun and educational. It was exciting to see, smell and taste various spices right from the plants, as well as the local fruits. The only tip is to pay attention to the weather – rain can make the spice farm a little muddy, so wear good shoes and clothes you’re not afraid of. All in all a fantastic trip we definitely recommend! Thank you to Mohammed and the team for an unforgettable day.

So glad that I booked this tour! I had attempted to walk around Stone Town the day prior, but only managed to get lost in the winding alleys. With this tour you get to see the highlights of the wider Stone Town area. Mohammed is very friendly, knowledgeable, and certainly knows his way around Zanzibar, Stone Town, etc. He also timed our tour to miss the big crowds, which was fantastic. The best experience in Zanzibar. Mohammed was an extremely knowledgable, dignified and helpful guide - and the places we visited were fascinating. Mo was extremely knowledgeable about all things Stonetown when taking us around and happy to answer any questions when we asked. The transport was comfortable and cool which was lovely going in and out of from the heat of the Zanzibar sun! Our favourite part of the tour was the Jambo Spice Farm with such lovely, warm people taking us around ready to try all the fruits they produce, too. 100% recommend anyone to do this trip!

My guide was very kind and knowledgeable. We went to stone town walking tour then Changu island then spice farm. The food and fruit was delicious at the spice farm. I would recommend booking with this guide. Please note some services along the way may require tip so bring smaller currency notes.

The spice farm experience and Prison Island were unique. There wasn't much that stood out in Stone City and our tour guide was more interested in Stone City than the other two places that we visited, I would say that he was more interested in explaining things that I have to do with his religion than other things. Made me buy clothes to cover myself because according to him my dress was too short and we could only buy in shops that he wanted.

I think there may have happened misunderstanding when the tour guide told you to buy a dress to cover, according to the culture of this country, The government insist the tour operators that all travelers should obey and practice some small things while visiting public places like villages, towns, cities, schools and markes. It is forbidden to a tour guide to walk with travelers with too short outfits, skintight as well as transparent clothes, this is the order from the Government and not the tour guide, if the travelers walk in those kind of clothes, the tour guide and the tour company he is working for are given penalty of paying certain amount, stop working for a period or both of them, this may even result for a company to be stoped from doing tour business. For these reasons, I would like to advocate the tour guide that he was not doing any religious thing but he was doing his job as it's supposed by the rules and regulations of doing this job from the local government. Lastly, we are very apologetic for this. Thanks again for sharing your experience.
We had wonderful private tour with Mohamed. He picked us up at the Hotel and took us to Prison Island and walking tour of Stone Town. He was knowledgeable about Zanzibar, its history and people. We had a terrrific tour of the Spice Farm led by Bill. We had lunch at the farm before the tour then Bill gave us a detailed and informative walk through the spice fields.
