Begin aan een spannende reis naar de majestueuze Liwa-oase, gelegen in het noordelijke deel van de Empty Quarter-woestijn. Dit ontzagwekkende en buitenaardse landschap is de achtergrond van veel films. Geniet van een spannende rit over de duinen en bewonder de eindeloze zee van goudkleurig zand. Als u de oase nadert, wordt u begroet door een weelderig groen landschap, dat in schril contrast staat met de dorre woestijn. Het is een oase van palmbomen die schaduw bieden en de ideale plek is voor een picknicklunch. Voordat de dag eindigt, gaan we naar een prachtige plek om de zonsondergang te bekijken. De verbluffende kleuren van de lucht weerspiegelen in de zandduinen, waardoor een schilderachtige omgeving ontstaat die werkelijk adembenemend is. Het is de perfecte gelegenheid om fantastische foto's te maken en onvergetelijke herinneringen te creëren. Eerst wordt u opgehaald van uw locatie in de stad Abu Dhabi (meestal van 11.30 uur tot 13.00 uur, maar we bieden flexibele tijden), gevolgd door een rit van 2 uur naar het toegangspunt tot de betoverende Liwa-woestijn. Zet je vervolgens schrap voor een spannende woestijnrit van anderhalf uur terwijl je bekwame gids over de torenhoge zandduinen manoeuvreert. Als je geluk hebt, kun je wilde dieren spotten die de woestijn hun thuis noemen. Bezoek onderweg een kamelenboerderij en maak kennis met de zogenaamde schepen van de woestijn. Bij het bereiken van de oase kunt u achterover leunen en onderdompelen in de rustige schoonheid terwijl u geniet van een picknicklunch van een uur. Na een zalige rustpauze kun je je avontuurlijke kant aanwakkeren; probeer sandboarden en voel de wind voorbij suizen terwijl je door de steile duinen surft. Op de terugweg, als de zon de horizon nadert, stoppen we bij een uitkijkpunt. Geniet van de kunstzinnigheid van de natuur, terwijl de lucht geborsteld is in karmozijnrode tinten. An absolutely impressive, exciting and fun tour. Jeep ride through the desert across the dunes in total solitude was spectacular. Our guide Ahmed drove us safely through the magnificent desert landscape at all times and made the experience a unique experience with his tour guide. Staying in the small secluded oasis with fantastic food was wonderful and the subsequent sunset breathtaking. The ride went back over the sandy slope in the dark, even at any time with a safe feeling. The experience was unique and completely private. NO ONE else was on the road except our own vehicle. That was GREAT
Yesterday's tour to the Liwa Desert was simply spectacular and an absolutely unforgettable experience. The day was full of special impressions – from the stunning scenery to the breathtaking drive through the dunes, which was definitely a highlight. Our guides were incredibly friendly, professional and accompanied us safely and with a lot of experience through the desert. You felt in good hands at all times. The food was also excellent and completed the day perfectly. Overall, an all-round perfect day that we would do again at any time. Highly recommended!
Had an absolutely fantastic desert safari experience in Liwa! The scenery was incredibly beautiful - the Liwa dunes are so tall and truly majestic. Our guide Rafi was amazing. Not only is he a highly skilled driver who expertly took us dune bashing, but he also helped us take photos and even taught us some fun posing tips. Watching the sunset at the end of the trip was the perfect, breathtaking finale. Everything was wonderful and absolutely worth the 2.5-hour drive. Highly recommended!
Leaving at lunch time we drove for 2 hours or so towards Liwa Oasis, and after having the pressure on the tyres reduced we hit the dunes in Empty Quarter… and that’s when the fun and adventure really started. Our driver and guide Mohammed, excelled in his driving skills up,down and around the huge dunes. And no one else in sight as we spent the late afternoon until sunset driving around the deserts. Absolutely awesome, Mohammed always ensuring that safety comes first whenever we paused to walk around and take photos of the views. We were up there until sunset and then headed to a small oasis where a delicious and tasty dinner was prepared for us. It’s a long day out but truly worthwhile.
A really great experience! You should definitely have experienced! Nature at its most beautiful. We were picked up very conveniently directly from the hotel by two drivers at about 1:30 p.m., and were able to have very pleasant conversations and learn some about the country and culture during the drive. After about 2.5h we started the wonderful dune ride. Completely safe, it offers an unforgettable adventure feeling! The red sand is just a miracle. We could even spot gazelles, saw camels on the way, made an occasional stop to whizz down the dunes on a board and enjoy the sunset. Really beautiful. In the evening then in the oasis there was a really very generous wonderful food, where you were also asked what you like and was freshly shopped accordingly. Wonderful palate with very pleasant accompaniment, cosmopolitan, multicultural and very hospitable. At the end I was able to climb a dune under a clear starry sky, just great! Nature likes to show itself to those who love it. In the end we were again comfortably dropped off at the hotel and were thus about 23:30 at home. I would like to thank my drivers for this unforgettable experience! Value for money great, gladly again!
We had an absolutely amazing experience exploring the Liwa Desert with our guide, Shafeeeq. From start to finish, he went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. His friendly nature and deep knowledge of the desert made the journey both exciting and memorable. What really stood out was how attentive he was—he constantly checked in to make sure we were safe and comfortable in the jeep, and he took so much effort to make the ride smooth and enjoyable. On top of that, Shafeeeq turned out to be a fantastic photographer! He captured incredible pictures of us against the golden dunes—moments we’ll treasure forever. Overall well, beautiful experience in the dunes, I expected a more cared for food, even simple but certainly not club sandwich.
Salim and Faisal hosted us wonderfully. They are excellent guides — driving safely, making jokes, taking beautiful photos and videos for us, and preparing a marvellous dinner and tea.
