We hebben gekwalificeerde gidsen met deskundige kennis, zij zullen u inzicht geven in de geschiedenis van Johannesburg en Soweto. Je gids geeft je ook reflecties over de huidige staat van de stad en beantwoordt je vragen over een reeks onderwerpen. We halen je op bij je hotel en rijden langs het huis van Nelson Mandela in Houghton, waarna we verder gaan om de noordelijke buitenwijken van Johannesburg naar Munro Drive te bekijken. Daarna bezoeken we Constitutional Hill waar Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi en vele activisten die de loop van de Zuid-Afrikaanse geschiedenis hebben bepaald ooit gevangen zaten. Hier is ook de plaats van het hoogste gerechtshof van de deelstaat gevestigd. We rijden je door Braamfontein en over de Nelson Mandela-brug naar het Central Business District van Johannesburg en ontdekken wat deze bloeiende stad uniek maakt. Daarna gaan we naar Soweto om deze geweldige township te ontdekken, de thuisbasis van twee Nobelprijswinnaars voor de vrede en de locatie van de Soweto-opstand van 16 juni.

De zetel van het hoogste hof in de Republiek Zuid-Afrika, dit district is een vroegere gevangenis berucht die als Nummer Vier wordt bekend, Mahatma Gandhi werd hier gehouden en Nelson Mandela.
Het huis van Nelson Mandela in Soweto, op een wereldberoemde straat genaamd Vilakazi Street, waar de aartsbisschop Desmond Tutu een huis heeft.
Soweto 1976, stoppen we bij het Hector Pieterson Memorial, om meer te weten te komen over de geschiedenis die de koers van de Zuid-Afrikaanse geschiedenis veranderde.
Het Apartheid Museum opende zijn deuren in 2001 en wordt erkend als het meest vooraanstaande museum ter wereld dat zich bezighoudt met het Zuid-Afrika van de 20e eeuw, waarin het apartheidsverhaal centraal staat. Het Apartheid Museum, het eerste in zijn soort, illustreert de opkomst en ondergang van de apartheid. Een architectenconsortium, bestaande uit verschillende toonaangevende architectenbureaus, heeft het ontwerp van het gebouw op een tribune van zeven hectare geconceptualiseerd. Het museum is een prachtig voorbeeld van design, ruimte en landschap en biedt de internationale gemeenschap een unieke Zuid-Afrikaanse ervaring.

Our tour guide Ghasa was amazing! He saved the day as the Apartheid museum is CLOSED on Monday and Tuesday. This information is not on the site so that you can make an informed decision as to your travel / tour plans. Thankfully Ghasa was such a wealth of information and had such a positive outlook we were still able to save the day. We still had to spend additional money and transportation fees to see the museum another day. The tour company gave a 20% discount for what was the headline feature of the trip. I believe the discount should’ve been better . Thank you Ghasa

If you want to get to know better the culture in South Africa and especially the historical happenings in Soweto this is the tour for you. Our guide Nosipho was extremely knowledgeable and you could listen to her for hours without getting bored. We could also customize the tour with a transfer to the Airport, which was perfect for our trip.
Nic did a fantastic job with his narration and driving skills. He is very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. I would not hesitate to book a tour with Nic as the guide.
Me and my wife spent 2 days in Johannesburg and one of these we had a tour of the city and our Guide was fantastic, polite, kind, expert about the story of the city and also a good driver. Trust them! I suggest to everybody.
We've done a fantastic tour with all the family in Soweto and Johannesburg Nosipho come to our house for the appointment at 9.00, then we start the tour by our car in Johannesburg: Costituation Hill, Top of Africa, Maponeng, Apartaid Museum and then to Soweto: Stadium, Orlando Tower,Vilakazy St.-Mandela House, Hector Pietrson Memorial. In a full day we'll visit all this thing and Nosipho explain everything, she was very professional and kind with all the family. If you are not sure to visit Johannesburg by alone organize a private tour with Nosipho: it's cheap (instead of other company), professional and you don't lost time to do all this thing in one day.
