Dit is een privétour alleen voor jou over ons grootste Mexicaanse katholieke geloof wandelen in het op één na meest bezochte Maria district ter wereld gelegen in Tepeyac's Hill. De basiliek van Guadalupe herbergt een aantal gebouwen, kerken, kapellen, een museum en verschillende sculpturen. We bezoeken de monumentale klok, de Eerste tempel, de oude basiliek, de nieuwe basiliek, de tuinen met kleine watervallen, de kapel op de top van de heuvel en de kleine tempel van heilig water. Het oorspronkelijke beeld van de Maagd van Guadalupe bevindt zich in de Nieuwe Basílica en dit wordt door miljoenen gelovigen vereerd. U zult uw gebeden doen voor de Maagd van Guadalupe en de zegeningen ontvangen met wijwater. Je kunt religieuze artikelen kopen in de Basílica. We keren terug naar het verzamelpunt in de metrobus.

Het ontmoetingspunt is naast het grote standbeeld van paus Johannes Paulus II. We bezoeken het hele religieuze complex: De nieuwe Basiliek (waar is de originele en wonderbaarlijke tilma uit 1531), de Oude en Eerste Basílica, Het heilige gebied waar de Maagd van Guadalupe verscheen aan Saint Juan Diego in 1531 en waar is de eerste kapel die Guadalupe vroeg om te bouwen. We lopen naar boven de heuvel van Tepeyac (met kleine watervallen en tuinen). Op de top bezoeken we de kapel van de bloemen en heb je een prachtig uitzicht over Mexico-stad. Dit is de plek waar Juan Diego zich de wonderbaarlijke bloemen in zijn mantel herinnerde. We bezoeken het monumentale beeld Het Offer met twee watervallen. We eindigen ons bezoek met de kleine kapel gewijd aan het Heilig Water. Je hebt kans om religieuze spullen te kopen in het religieuze complex. U kunt ons tijd vragen voor de mis.

The Basilica is a very large complex. We were so grateful to our guide Martin. He was very knowledgeable about the history, culture and religious heritage and genuine in effort to make sure we enjoyed our time there. We very much enjoyed our tour and he even helped translate our needs for shopping in the store and helped capture our experience with photos! It was fantastic!!

Lots of walking and worth it. There is more to see than meets the eye. Definitely recommend having a tour guide. Ours was wonderful! His name was Gabriel.

This company canceled my tour about 18 hours before it was scheduled to start and gave no specific reason. I had stayed an extra day on this trip to enjoy the tour having changed a plane reservation and added another night to my hotel stay.

Was a little apprehensive about the meeting point details of this tour as there are conflicting information. On several emails it specifically identified the an entrance just outside the Basilica (the one I used as the destination to our Uber ride) however there was also a mention of the Statue of Pope John-Paul II. Had to confirm via telephone that it was indeed in front of the statue. Our guide Diego was quite competent and was knowledgeable about the whole place. Since it was a Sunday he had to rearrange his normal routine to accommodate the thick crowds which worked out well.
