Picked up at hotel as scheduled. The van was clean and comfortable. The drive was good with the guide providing a history of Reno and Virginia City. Once at Virginia City, we drove around the city while the guide discussed key sites. We then walked downtown with the guide. This was where I didn't like the tour. There was no time to shop, sit, or look around. We were given 30 minutes to eat/on your own time. It would have been better to let us walk on our own. The drive back was uneventful. The guide and driver were courteous and professional.

Guests are always welcome to step into shops and browse during the tour. As with lunch breaks, if you’d like additional free time for shopping or exploring on your own, simply let your guide know and we’ll be happy to accommodate whenever possible. Sometimes, when guests are enjoying the stories and stops along the route, the walking tour runs longer than planned, which can reduce the remaining free time. Our guide was very informative, the ride was a little tough if you have a weak stomach due to all the turns

The transportation was a Mercedes sprinter van. Very nice and clean. The driver was great and on time. The guide Marcus was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Virginia city as well as talking about some of the local Reno area. If you like mining, old west, and Mark Twain this tour is for you! We walked around town just beware of uneven surfaces as most of the town is old. The tour is very flexible so just ask and they will be happy to accommodate. They had snacks and waters provided, but you can grab something to eat or shop. You have to get some fudge at grandmas fudge factory and maybe a drink at the bucket of blood saloon.

Absolutely one of the best tours. There were 2 us. Our driver, Kalmar, was fantastic, kind and caring and knowledgeable. Our guide JP made the tour come alive. He introduced us to people he knew in town and great stories. We got an insiders tour. This is a must do while in Reno.

We came to Reno without really knowing where to go or what to explore and after searching. we found this tour and decided to book and honestly it turned out to be the best decision of our trip! The drive from Reno to Virginia City was absolutely amazing. It was the perfect getaway from the busy casino atmosphere and gave us a chance to discover something truly unique and authentic. The scenery along the way was beautiful and Virginia City itself felt like stepping back in time. Our guide Marcus made the whole experience even better. He was very informative energetic and clearly passionate about what he does. He shared interesting stories local history and made sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged throughout the Tour. the vehicle was very clean comfortable and well maintained which made the ride smooth and enjoyable. Everything was well organized and ran on time which we really appreciated. You can tell this tour is run with care and attention to detail. It’s perfect for anyone visiting Reno who wants to explore beyond the casinos and experience something different. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area it’s a must do! It was an incredible day out experience. the trip was definitely one not tomiss if you love history and the old west, Virginia City itself was like stepping back in time to the Wild West, driver/guide was really friendly and kept us entertained with his commentaries and history of the places we drove through. we had enough time to walk through the streets of visiting various shops did a mine tour. we stopped at Carson City to visit Nevada State Museum fascinating rich history. overall we had a enjoyable day. this trip was well organized with just the right balance of activities and free time to wander. It’s a must do for anyone visiting Nevada especially if you love history and the Wild West vibe! Highly recommended!
