De tour begint bij de ingang van het Colosseum. Het grootste amfitheater ooit gebouwd in het Romeinse rijk. Voorheen bekend als "het Flavische amfitheater", het had 80 ingangen en een capaciteit van meer dan 50.000 toeschouwers.
Na je rondleiding door het Colosseum leidt je gids je naar het nabijgelegen Forum, het centrale plein en het centrum van het oude Rome. Hier ziet u het Senaatshuis, de Tempel van Vesta, de Tempel van Saturnus, het Altaar van de Goddelijke Julius Caesar, de Tempel van Tweelingen, de Basiliek Emilia en de Boog van Septimius Severus, om er maar een paar te noemen.
De tour eindigt op de Capitoline-heuvel, ooit de plaats van de tempels van de belangrijkste Romeinse goden. Hier is een prachtig plein ontworpen door Michelangelo evenals het standbeeld van Marcus Aurelius.

Our family visited Italy in August of this year. We have 16 and 19 year old sons and used Bruno Tours for our guides for the Vatican tour one day and the Colosseum/Ancient Ruins tour the next day. It was the absolute best decision we made. The tour guide met us at the location provided by Bruno tours and we completely skipped the long line of tourists waiting to enter. We learned a great deal more then we would have if we had been in a group. We had one on one access to our tour guide to ask questions and interact. Italy is very crowded and busy during the summer and I could see that with the group tours it would have been difficult to hear with the headphones and the large groups. Truly a memorable experience and we will use Bruno Tours again on our next trip to Italy!
If you truly want to be entertained at the same time getting knowledge you must take any of his tours . david@davidsrome.com we took his pantheon and Forum tour last year and loved it do much took them again this year . Their a husband and wife team offering several Different types of tours. Well worth the money, A LOT cheaper then Viator.

We did the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill private tour through Bruno Tours. Our guide, Marta, was an incredible well of information and knew her history very well. The day before the tour she made sure we had all the necessary information for the meeting. On the day she was extremely well organised and we skipped the lines in all of the locations and somehow had the best spots for enjoying the scenery and taking photos. Her knowledge of the ancient Rome history was impressive and we appreciated her sense of humour as well. If you are planning a trip to Rome Marta is your guide.
