U kunt ontspannen terwijl we de prachtige Chianti heuvels en het middeleeuwse juweeltje van Monteriggioni, een kasteel uit 1213 met zijn prachtige muren doorkruisen.
Geniet van het uitzicht over Montalcino, met het imposante veertiende-eeuwse fort dat een van de mooiste uitzichten biedt op Val d’Orcia. Hier bezoekt u een boetiek-wijnmakerij-boerderij, en biedt u een begeleide lunch-proeverij van de beroemde Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino, docg wijnen en een grote selectie van typische producten van het grondgebied en een heerlijke zelfgemaakte woestijn. Dit alles wordt gevolgd door een bezoek aan de kelders en wat vrije tijd om te genieten van de natuur.
Hier stop je voor een panoramisch uitzicht en maak je foto's van het prachtige landschap waar de film The Gladiator wordt opgenomen. Door de heuvelachtige uitgestrektheid van de oude wijngaarden en olijfgaarden, die het prachtige gebied kenmerken bereiken we Val d'Orcia, UNESCO-erfgoed, een harmonieus landschap van heuvels bezaaid met cipressen, onderbroken door kastelen, kerken, oude dorpen van Etruskische oorsprong en boerderijen die de route van de beroemde "Via Francigena" begeleiden.
Na een korte tocht over een panoramische weg bereiken we Montepulciano, omsloten door versterkte muren en gelegen op een heuvel 600 meter boven zeeniveau tussen Val d’Orcia en Val di Chiana. De stad staat bekend om zijn Edele wijn waar u het historische Paleis kunt bewonderen. Hier kunt u genieten van uw vrije tijd wandelen langs de steile straatjes, een bezoek brengen aan de historische wijnkelders en de prachtige Renaissance gebouwen bewonderen. U kunt ook de optie selecteren om te genieten van een wijnproeverij in Montepulciano.

We had Morad create a custom tour for myself and my wife in Siena and San Quirico D’Orcia. Our Montalcino & Pienza wine tour was truly the highlight of our Italy trip and we hated to see it end! Every part of the experience was so thoughtfully planned and perfectly executed. The winery was absolutely breathtaking, the medieval towns were incredible to explore, and the panoramic views throughout the day were unforgettable. Morad was an exceptional tour guide. He shared so much fascinating history, made us feel completely taken care of, and truly treated us like family. He was incredibly attentive to our dietary restrictions and made sure the winery staff was aware. He was also an extremely safe driver, and the private transportation for our family of five was spacious and very comfortable. The wine tasting and lunch were both delicious, and the winery staff was highly knowledgeable and created such an inviting atmosphere. The entire experience felt personalized, relaxed, and special from beginning to end. This tour is an absolute must-do if you’re visiting Italy. We will be talking about this day for years to come!
Absolutely wonderful day exploring Tuscany! Lunch at the winery was one of the best meals we had on our trip to Italy. The visit to the olive grove and olive oil tasting was the highlight of the day. Morad was an excellent guide. We learned so much about Tuscany, GOOD olive oil, regional dishes, and brunello wine. Visiting the quaint town of Montepulciano was a perfect end to the perfect day in Tuscany.
