Plaatselijk bekend als Mosi-oa-Tunya (“De rook die dondert”), is Victoria Falls niet alleen een waterval – het is een full-body ervaring. Het is een van de zeven natuurwonderen van de wereld en grenst aan de grens tussen Zimbabwe en Zambia. Het valt meer dan 100 meter in de Zambezi-kloof in een spectaculair vertoon van ruwe, ongetemde kracht. Of je nu regenbogen ziet ontstaan in de spray, de donder onder je voeten voelt of de mist van een kilometer afstand op je huid opvangt, de watervallen vragen om aandacht – en krijg het. Avontuurlijke zoekers komen voor het wildwaterraften, helikopterflips en Devil's Pool zwemmen. Maar zelfs een rustige wandeling langs het regenwoudpad zal je versteld doen staan. Dit is het belangrijkste evenement van de natuur. Pak je nieuwsgierigheid, je camera en misschien een regenponcho in – je staat iets onvergetelijks te wachten.
Op slechts een paar minuten van de ingang van Victoria Falls ligt een rustige reus – de iconische Baobab die liefkozend bekend staat als The Big Tree. Dit natuurwonder is naar schatting meer dan 1000 jaar oud en heeft meer geschiedenis gezien dan welke gids dan ook. Met een stam die zo breed is dat het een kleine auto kan slikken (probeer het niet), en takken die eruit zien alsof ze in de wind naar oude verhalen reiken, is de Big Tree een favoriete stop voor natuurliefhebbers, fotografen en nieuwsgierige wandelaars. Het is een rustige plek om na te denken, even op adem te komen en een foto te maken met een van Afrika's meest volhardende tijdwaarnemers. Geen brullende donder hier – alleen stille wijsheid gewikkeld in schors.

Phila was an excellent guide and made my visit to Victoria Falls even more enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly helpful, including assisting with purchasing entrance tickets, which made the process smooth and hassle-free. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, and shared lots of interesting information as well as great local recommendations. The pace of the tour was perfect (relaxed enough to fully enjoy the views and take plenty of photos along the way). Phila was also very helpful with taking pictures, making sure I came away with some wonderful memories of the experience. I would highly recommend Phila to anyone visiting Victoria Falls.
Victoria Falls are unbelievable and breathtaking in May. Being there is already an amazing experience. However, Phila is the icing, cherry and ice cream on the cake. She has amazing energy, knows the place very well and is creative in suggesting pictures and what to see during her tour. Our experience with her was magical, and we are willing to go back again in the dry season. We know she will guide us to the best spots and with a wonderful energy. #TeamPhila

We really enjoyed our guided walk with Pila. She 'held our hand' (literally at one point as Point Danger indeed got slipery. We recommend the Poncho & Crocs. Wear them or hire them for a fes dollars, you will get wet LOL) She is very experienced and super friendly. She helped us take amazing photos and shared very interesting stories. Definitely worth the price. Phila answered every question we had and even added in a few anecdotes of her own. The entire tour took about 2 hours and there was never a dull moment. With just my boyfriend and I on the trip, she made sure to take some very cute couple photos for us (even stopping us at some hidden gems because we "absolutely had to take a picture there"

Phila was such a wonderful guide! We were arriving in VFA and planning to go directly to Victoria Falls after landing and she organized a van for us and met us at the airport. The tour itself was fantastic. Victoria Falls is literally one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. Phila shared great details and stories about the area. We didn’t feel rushed and spent around two and half hours in the national park. After the tour, she organized another van to meet us on the Zambian border to take us to our hotel in Livingstone. She was also so responsive on WhatsApp which made the whole experience seamless.

She showed us every part of the Falls, took us to the iconic Victoria Falls Bridge, and stayed with us throughout our full-day experience. This included the boat cruise and an unforgettable evening at the Boma. She also went the extra mile by making bookings for us at the Lookout Café. Just back from an epic Victoria Falls tour and abseiling adventure with the incredible Phila as our guide!
