Je wordt teruggebracht naar de Gouden Eeuw van Frankrijk met een reis naar het paleis van Versailles, een UNESCO-werelderfgoed en embleem van Franse royalty en extravagantie. U krijgt gegarandeerd snelle toegang, zodat u in de rij kunt staan en comfortabel kunt reizen in een van onze volledig van airconditioning voorziene touringcars. Je zult je vergapen aan het adembenemende koninklijke kasteel, getransformeerd door de 'Zonnekoning' Lodewijk XIV in de jaren 1660 vanuit een jachthuis. Speeltuin van de Franse vorsten, Versailles was het centrum van koninklijke en politieke macht tot de Franse Revolutie in 1789, waarbij Lodewijk XVI en Marie Antoinette gedwongen werden terug te keren naar de hoofdstad.
Met uw audiogids kunt u onder meer de staatsappartementen van de koning en de koningin en de koninklijke kapel ontdekken.
Ontdek de Spiegelzaal, het toonbeeld van Franse weelde: driehonderdzevenenvijftig spiegels sieren de met goud versierde hal en kristallen kroonluchters hangen aan het plafond.
U krijgt ook de tijd om de verzorgde tuinen "à la française" te verkennen, die de pracht van het interieur weerspiegelen. Ontworpen door de Franse tuinarchitect André Le Nôtre in 1661 voor de koning Lodewijk XIV, is het 2000 hectare grote park een architecturale uitgestrektheid van perspectieven, parterres, fonteinen en bosjes die sinds het begin heeft bepaald wat een Franse tuin zou moeten zijn.

The tour guide was great and knowledgeable. I would recommend going on this tour. The palace and gardens were great.
This was the perfect amount of time for me to visit the Palace of Versailles and the gardens. I was in Paris alone on a work trip and have never seen the palace so going for a few hours was perfect. To me, having the transportation to and from Versailles was a huge plus- especially since the van has AC! Our tour guide was wonderful, friendly, and patient. Would do a tour with them again!
Fantastic our guide and driver was very good. The van was immaculate and air conditioned. Versailles was beautiful and our guide who took us through the palace, was knowledgeable and east to understand.
Absolutely wonderful tour, in spite of the European heat wave during our stay our tour guide Isabella did her best to keep us in shaded areas during the short wait to get inside Versailles. She was very knowledgeable, passionate about her job, and really was mindful on checking in on everyone during the entire tour. Highly recommend, I'm it's even better in the spring season when it's not as hot.
Don't go on one of the hottest days on record! Tour guide was great, very knowledgeable. Very crowded. I did this tour on a long layover, so was a little stressed about making it back to the airport on time, and I shouldn't have worried at all.
My experience was not good. The bus we took to Versaille didn’t have working AC so everyone was hot and miserable the entire 45 minute ride there and back. I brought it to the guides attention and he and the driver said there was nothing that could be done. After arriving back at the tourist office I alerted the attendants at the office there and they seemed to not care. Said they would let their manager know.
Lots of history to see at Versailles. The Palace is immense and filled with many artifacts. Our guide was well versed on our tour and made sure we saw all the highlights despite the palace being over crowded and terribly hot. The gardens are lovely. Be sure and take them in. Best if you go when the temperature is more reasonable. It was too hot the day we went and there’s very little AC inside.

Sebastian was a wonderful tour guide. He got us there and back safely while telling us all about Versailles and what life was like back then. It was very hot—so if you go in the spring/summer wear a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and bring a portable electric fan. That was a lifesaver. While everyone was sweating I had a handheld fan to aim at my face. I also brought a battery pack to recharge my phone. As it can be a long day of taking pics/videos which could zap your battery. You can also bring a bag in with drinks and snacks. Nothing better than having an impromptu picnic in the garden.

We had a wonderful time traveling to Versailles! It was the perfect morning excursion that had us back in Paris by 1pm, leaving plenty of time for additional activities that day. Skipping the line that went from the palace all the way to the gates and going with a group was a must to avoid the crowds that were there early. Sebastian did a wonderful job helping us navigate the palace and explaining the importance of the different rooms. We really enjoyed the free time after to explore the gardens though we wish we had a bit more time for that. I’d recommend this tour again and again!
I think if you have more time in Paris, you should schedule more time at Versailles but this was perfect for a taste of it! We only had a couple days in Paris so this was a perfect way to see Versailles! The ride was very comfortable, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We had such a wonderful morning and are so glad we picked this one! I want to shout out our awesome tour guide but I’m blanking on his name (I should really write this stuff down) but it was the May 12 8:15 am pink group!
