Ruil de stress van het organiseren van treinen en tickets voor een soepele halve dag ontsnappen uit Parijs naar het Paleis van Versailles. Reis vanaf een centraal ontmoetingspunt in Parijs in een comfortabele minibus met airconditioning. Binnen verken je op je eigen tempo met de officiële audio Gids, in de voetsporen van Lodewijk XIV door de King's Grand Apartments, de Queen's Apartments en de schitterende Spiegelzaal. Stap na het paleis naar buiten om de beroemde Franse tuinen van André Le Nôtre te ontdekken, met grote perspectieven, sierzwembaden en perfect uitgelijnde lanen die zich uitstrekken tot aan het Canal Grande. Op geselecteerde dagen van de lente tot de herfst is uw ticket ook inclusief de Musical Fountains of Musical Gardens show, wanneer water en barokmuziek het koninklijk park tot leven brengen. Ontmoet uw chauffeur op een centrale locatie in de buurt van het Louvre. Stap aan boord van uw minivan met airconditioning en vertrek uit Parijs naar de koninklijke stad Versailles, ongeveer 20 kilometer ten zuidwesten van de hoofdstad. Ontspan tijdens de rit terwijl u door de Parijse buitenwijken rijdt en een korte introductie hoort over de geschiedenis van het kasteel, Lodewijk XIV (de “Zonnekoning”) en de oprichting van dit voormalige jachtslot in een van Europa’s beroemdste koninklijke residenties.
Vermijd bij aankomst lange wachtrijen bij uw vooraf geboekte entree. Eenmaal binnen volgt u de audio Gids door de belangrijkste ceremoniële zalen : de Grand Apartments van de Koning, de Appartementen van de Koningin, de Koninklijke Kapel (uitzicht vanaf de galerij) en de spectaculaire Spiegelzaal, waar koninklijke ceremonies werden gehouden en waar het Verdrag van Versailles in 1919 werd ondertekend. U bent vrij om de voorgestelde route te volgen of u te concentreren op de kamers die u het meest interesseren.
Ga na het paleis naar de formele tuinen ontworpen door André Le Nôtre. Bewonder perspectiefuitzichten, fonteinen, sculpturen en sierbaden. Op geselecteerde dagen van de lente tot de herfst geeft uw ticket u toegang tot de show Musical Fountains of Musical Gardens, waarbij waterstralen en barokmuziek de sfeer van koninklijke festiviteiten nabootsen.
Ontmoet uw chauffeur op de afgesproken tijd en locatie en ontspan vervolgens op de reis terug naar het centrum van Parijs, waar uw tour eindigt bij het oorspronkelijke ontmoetingspunt.

Our driver showed up in a van that could not store the wheelchair one of our party needed, even though I spoke to a Viator agent weeks ago who assured me it wouldn’t be a problem. We were 40 minutes late leaving while he found another vehicle. Once on our way, the driver got lost and had to backtrack, delaying us further. We arrived at Versailles an hour late, leaving us only 90 minutes at the palace. We didn’t see much of the interior nor any of the gardens before we had to meet the driver to leave. This tour was not cheap and we don’t feel we got our money’s worth. Overall not a good experience.
Jean-Baptiste was very good! Very personable. Would recommend. He has a lot of knowledge. One recommendation would be ear buds so if you’re not close you can still hear all of the informations.

Convenient way to visit Versailles. They take care of the transportation and the skip-the-line tickets. We went during an off-peak so there weren't a lot of people in Versailles

The palace itself is beautiful but is soo packed that you end up shuffling along from room to room. The gardens are spectacular and the musical fountains are well worth seeing
As I had opted for audioguides instead of a live one, I felt that we missed out on a lot of interesting information because of that. We were picked up by bus and dropped off at Versailles, got in and were distributed audiophones which took a little to figure out. Once we did that, it was OK, and did provide some information, but probably not nearly as much as a live guide would be able to do. The Palace itself is truly impressive, but with all the over the top opulence, it is easy to feel overwhelmed.
Poorly organized on return pick up from Versailles. The agent told us to get off the bus before reaching the office in Paris , & left us in a hurry. Was supposed to have a drop off to the hotel, but that didn’t happen . The office not very helpful at all. I would not recommend this company to anybody.
Dear Bex O, We follow your comment. The bus, back from Versailles, was caught in traffic jams. He was immobilized more than 1 hour at the Eiffel Tower. All customers (except 3 ladies) asked the driver to get off rather than returning to the agency. The 3 ladies who did not want to go down to the Eiffel Tower were brought back, by the driver, to our agency near the Louvre. Indeed, the return was late but the service was assured until the end.
