Ontmoet de lokale Gids op Piazza Bra en begin tijdens deze 45 minuten durende tour de beroemde Arena te bezoeken : het grote Romeinse amfitheater van Verona. Ga naar binnen met je priority ticket en luister naar de lokale Expert die je vertelt over de bouw van de Arena, het huidige en oude gebruik ervan en de historische legendes erachter. Wandel onder de oude marmeren arcades door en luister naar verhalen van gladiatoren en van de oude Romeinse spelen die hier vroeger plaatsvonden. Ontdek feiten en anekdotes over de bijzondere geschiedenis van dit monument. Arena, die een aardbeving in de 12e eeuw overleefde, is nog steeds de favoriete openlucht Operazaal van de stad, vanwege zijn unieke geluidskwaliteit. Very worthwhile tour.
very good tour guide with enough knowledge during our 45 minute trip to the Verona Arena. Although, I'm a bit of a "geek" when it comes to all the small details & I would have liked a bit more. But for the average tourist, this was spot on, as our guide had plenty of explanatory pictures in her folder so we could see everything we needed to know. I would definitely recommend this tour & guide.

Wonderful tour

Over priced.
Way too short for the cost. While the guide was knowledgeable, there isn’t much more to say. Good tour if half the price.

Don’t bother
Booked with Wave. Total waste of money. It took longer to gather the group and mark them off than it would have been to just buy a ticket. Entry to the arena is €20. We paid £34.15 but got nothing for the extra tour cost. She walked us into the amphitheater and took us a few yards down a tunnel and spoke for 10 mins. We didn’t get a tour of the amphitheater, nor did we get much information about it. She kept wandering off subject and talking about concerts and football and how hot it was. Nothing about the history of the arena or gladiators, how or where they lived or what the rules of fights were or the audiences, the purpose of the gladiators, what happened to the animals, etc. we learned nothing from the tour which was such a disappointment! We also didn’t have any time to explore afterwards as advertised as the arena closed early for concerts, which we were not told. If we’d known we would have gone earlier in the day. It was a huge disappointment and waste of money! We learned more about the arena from our walking night tour of Verona which was brilliant.

Walking & Arena Tour
We had Priscilla, she was very informative, well paced, and lovely! The tour is a decent chunk of time and is very insightful. Would recommend.

Great use of an hour in Verona
Our tour guide did a great job of showing us the highlights and telling some useful stories with information. She also was very good at keeping us out of the hot sun when possible, I would recommend the trip to anybody with family as she was very good with children as well.

Pretty good guide, instructions seem to be better for meeting them
Shipping instructions need to say three things: 1. There are no printed or emailed tickets from the app, the guide will have your name listed. 2. Meet the guide in front of the main ticket booth area. Just having the general address doesn’t help for Verona arena due to the size it is. 3. State the guide will have a yellow flag or a yellow umbrella or some sort of color to look for when there’s a large crowd standing there.
