Het water van Moraine Lake lijkt alsof ze rechtstreeks uit de hemel in de Vallei van de Tien Pieken zijn gegoten. De torenhoge bergen omringen het diepblauwe oppervlak van het meer in een formatie die zo buitengewoon is, dat alleen Moeder Natuur het kan vormen. Stapels keien zijn schijnbaar gevallen door de handen van reuzen, die miniatuurbergen vormden in de buurt van de oever van het meer. Laat u meevoeren door de paden die tussen de rotsen kronkelen en verder reizen naar alpenweiden en sprankelende meren. Lake Louise is een gletsjermeer in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. Het is vernoemd naar prinses Louise Caroline Alberta, de vierde dochter van koningin Victoria en de vrouw van de markies van Lorne, die van 1878 tot 1883 de gouverneur-generaal van Canada was. De turquoise kleur van het water komt van steenmeel dat in de meer door smeltwater van de gletsjers die uitkijken over het meer. Het meer heeft een oppervlakte van 0,8 km² en wordt via de 3 km lange Louise Creek afgevoerd naar de Bow River. Moraine Lake en Lake Agnes zijn ook bereikbaar vanaf Lake Louise.

Our family booked this tour and we really enjoyed it. Lake Moraine is smaller with less people, and the views were phenomenal. Lake Louise was a lot busier, but is quite bigger. Both lakes had amazing blue/green colouring, but the colour from Moraine wins hands down. Our driver, Shawn, was great. He gave us little historical tidbits along the drive up, and hints where to go to get good views at both lakes. One spot to check out is the Fairmont Lookout at Lake Louise. It gives a bird's eye view of the hotel and lake, but be warned it's a good hike up to get there. If you go up, there's not a lot of time left for the lake side viewing. Overall, this was a very good tour to enjoy for families with kids, especially if you want to avoid the drive to Lake Louise, and to also see Lake Moraine since cars aren't allowed into that area.
The driver/guide Caroline did a great job, she was funny, explained all the details, so I explored two lakes very efficiently.
Great trip. Was expecting a shuttle van but we were on a large tour bus (which was at capacity). Comfortable. Free bottle of water on seat. Driver (Young) was great and knowledgeable. Perfect amount of time at each stop. Made sure everyone was on board and accounted for before leaving. Great communication.
We’ve taken several tours on this vacation, and never had a guide as delightful and interesting as Caroline! Funny, informative and cheerful the entire day, she really made this best tour of our trip. Moraine Lake and Lake Louise were spectacular and the experience of seeing them was made even better by having such a great driver/guide. Very highly recommend.

Both lakes have their own beauty, and we’re glad we got to see them! Our tourbus driver, Shawn, was amazing, loved the history and geology of the rockies he told as we were on the road. Most importantly, he actually waited for an extra 10mins after pickup time for the guys that were a little late returning to the parking lot.

First of all a big thanks to Shaun for being a great guide and for driving us to both lakes. He picked us from Canmore exactly on scheduled time, explained about all the major spots on the way and gave adequate time at each lake. He was very friendly and a super nice person. Honesty, I just randomly chose this shuttle service but I am glad for my decision and really enjoyed our ride. Overall it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend it
The van was comfortable. Our tour guide/driver Wei was very knowledgeable about the area and gave a lot of good information. He was is a good driver as well. The price per person was reasonable and 1.2 hrs. at each lake gave enough time to enjoy. We had a great time.
